"Is there any possible way of taking parts from both radios and getting one to work?" Said Celd while leaning against a wall. "Or is there any possible way to use parts from the helicopter or ship to repair of one them?"

Chris made his way back to Jim's room, and knocked on the door. "Hey, Jim, I got you something that may be useful."

Shaking his head and getting up to answer the door, Jim muttered to himself.
"Half-wits to my right, wankers to my left(IvoryAgent reference FTW)" Jim said, opening the door and grinning. "Speaking of half-wits! Come on in Thicky, give me what you got. Also, I got a few questions about the helicopter equipment!" Jim said, taking a mobile radio with an open case off of his desk and showing it to Chris. "Does it have any parts similar to this inside it's guts?"

"Sure does, but not the one I gave you. That one was a Sat/Com radio for a future delivery. That one seemed more useful 'till someone broke it.
"The one in the helicopter has a short-range radio just like this one, but someone may have tampered with it just like the other ones, we can go check later."
"And this may come in use to you, seeing as how you're getting all crazy and suspicious of everyone." He handed Jim the Short-sword.
"There's more of these things in the chopper if you want them, Celd. Feel free to take what you need."

"I couldn't really be too sure, but I'd like to think that someones looking for a way to get us out of here. That damn captain has all this equipment and men at his disposal and where still sitting stuck in the ice, I don't imagine its much longer till we're stuck here for good, don't quote me on that I'm not a geological expert." Shanks finished with a sleepy yawn. It annoyed him, he was at that stage where he was tired, but unable to sleep due to the alcohol induced headache, and unwilling to sleep after seeing Hellspawns body. He may as well try and immerse himself in his work, it wouldn't be the first time he'd written an article through the fog of a hangover.

"Say Jimmy, how dy'feel bout becoming my Official Reporters Assistant? You might even get a credit and all if we can piece together something interesting." and if we get out of this godforsaken place.

Michael kept hearing bitching. Bitching, bitching, bitching. And from lazy fucks nonetheless. Sick of it Michael walked to the navigation room, and picked up the intercom.
"This is your captain speaking. I have an announcement for everyone who still respects me and cares about what I say. People keep bitching that we need to get out of here and I agree, but how? We need to sit down and discuss this all. At 8 tonight, I want us all to meet in the mess hall. We are going to have a crew meeting on, how to escape, and dealing with/lynching the murderer. Thank you that is all."

Killion may have been awoken early by the captain's jibbering, but he felt a lot better after even the small amount of shut-eye he'd managed. He was still scared as hell, but he could manage his feelings now and focus on what could be done that was productive. Like calming down everyone else. That damn captain was Killion's biggest problem; Micheal was so insecure about his power that he exercised it uselessly at any opportunity. Which, ironically, was eroding his influence. He needed to calm down and stop projecting his panic onto the crew, or that panic might truly materialize there. Why couldn't he understand that hunting a one-time killer isn't a good idea unless totally necessary? Killion had warned him, he couldn't be held responsible for what happened to the captain now.

Well, nothing can be done about that yet, gathering information is probably the best move right now.

Killion headed to the sick bay. Who better to get information from than a reporter?

OOC: Wait, there's other people on the boat. Are we going to do this like the Cyberpunk RP with the note? How do we narrow it down to just us?

Ivan returned to the sickbay, the announcement reminding him of his days in Hospital. He sat down on a cot, removing his hat. He ran his fingers through his thinning hair and sighed. He picked up a plate of oily herring, then he finished last nights meal. His mustache now oily, he looked around the sick bay.

"Many people may be here doing our voyage." He sighed, remembering Hellspawn. "Maybe I should get it ready..."

He didn't make up his mind that time.

Celd nods to Chris and says "Thanks for the offer, I might have to take you up on that" Turning to Jim he added " So if Jim has spare parts in his radio on the helicopter do you think we have a shot of making signals strong enough to reach other ships?" As Celd stops talking the announcement is made. "Anybody know what time it is?"

OOC: If either of you need Celd to come with your character for some reason please do so . :)

"I don't fucking know what time it is. But I'd guess by how FUCKING COLD it is, that we are so far north, polar bears freeze in their tracks. Therefore, the possibility of a ship sailing close enough for a makeshift radio to contact it is extremely, extremely low." Jim shivers again, his teeth chattering. "get outta my cabin, cookie, and could you bring me some hot soup? Try not to get too much hair in it."
"What about the announcement the captain made?"
Jim pressed his palm to his face. "Right...I'll get dressed and walk up to the mess, have that soup ready for me when I get there, alright? And some Coffee."
Jim got dressed, and swished around the short sword he'd been given.
Stuffing it inside his large parka, he walked up the stairs and into the mess hall.

"It's about 7:30, so we'd better get down there."
Chris looked at Jim. "Dude, lighten up. We're all in this together. Going through this whole thing alone will just make things harder on yourself and everyone else. Whether it's some sort of defense thing, or you actually are a jerk, just get over yourself."

Jimmy smiled at Shanks. The concept of something so normal amidst all of this insanity was soothing. "Yeah, but I warn you Shanks; I can't write to save my live. I'm all about the talking." As he replied he heard their captain make an announcement. It really seemed like he was losing it; then again who wasn't He himself had thought violent aggressive thoughts of another human being after seeing that body. IT was all the uncertainty of it. It made people crazy. Cabin fever and what not. "Shaking his head Jimmy gave Shank's shoulder a squeeze adding; "I don't know about you mate, but I'm pretty sure that the brown matter is going to hit the spinning rotors quite soon." Smiling his a typical boyish grin for the first time in ages Jimmy stood up. Talking to Shanks had left him feeling much better, the promise of something normal really did help to ease his mind. "Thanks mate." He said softly and again he gave Shanks a friendly squeeze. "But I think i should get ready for this meeting, after all the troops will be hungry and I am the chef." He flashed Shanks a wink as he walked about of the sick bay, braving the deck to make it back down into the mess room and relative safety of his kitchen. Dinner would be needed soon, and although he didn't exactly feel like cooking. He was sure some one would feel like eating. Maybe that bull dog of a man Chaz.

whistling to himself Jimmy started fishing about the kitchen for supplies, making sure to keep his eyes diverted from the mess room at all times. He couldn't handle looking back at the scene; not just yet.

Tsurugi opened his eyes as an announcement came over the speaker. He was too groggy to understand what it said and for a moment he thought it was the shift alarm. Moving over to his small dresser he pulled on his overalls, tripping himself up. The alarm clock on the dresser finally came into focus and he saw that it wasn't time for his shift yet.

Weird. What had been on the speakers then?

Tsurugi couldn't recall anything that it had said but feeling that it was something important he finished zipping up his overalls and walked out of his small room that he shared with another deckhand. He found the man walking quickly down the hallway past their room. He looked in a hurry, like he had somewhere important to go. Many other people walked down the hallway in the same way. Tsurugi called out to his roommate, "Hey! What was that announcement about?"

The man didn't stop but turned his head and yelled back, "The cap'n has called a meeting. It starts soon."

Cursing Tsurugi hurried down the hallway after the others. The meeting had to be about what had happened over the last couple of days, and it unsettled him. He was expected to be there, so he would be, and they might actual decide on something.

Chaz ambled into the galley and settled down in a corner. Things were going wrong so he suspected he'd be following Galt around a lot before long. Ought to get some time to himself while he could.

He was carrying a bottle of port. He had a real taste for the stuff, surprisingly defeating the thuggish stereotype in his taste for booze. Didn't drink it much though. Gotta keep the reputation.

He took a swig from the bottle, the taste washing away the acrid taste of vomit that had been lying on his tongue, and sighed appreciatively. His mind hadn't even started dwelling on who's fault it was. That kinda thinking he left to Galt, Chaz would just lamp anyone who tried any funny business.

It's because people don't post that often. There are the core people who post all the time, but the rest barely post, and I don't know where Galt is, but he barely posts either...

I messaged Galt about mandatory lynching, and he told me that he's swamped with RL issues at the moment, but he is gonna try and put something new up soon.. and since you asked so nicely...
Jimmy had left to go about cooking, and Shanks lay back on the bed.
He pondered the captains message.
Fuck, how that man got to being in charge of a whole vessel, let alone a rubber duck I will never work out. He was seriously worried that the Captains suggestions were only making things worse among the crew. Take this morning for instance, everyone had been looking at the mutilated thing that used to be Hellspawn with shock, sadness, disbelief and even a few with fear. But what does Michael do? Start running his mouth off about fingerprinting. He should be quelling the panic, not making it. Y'know what this reminds me of? Fuckin' McCarthyism. Its not helping that poor radio operator either, before all the panic he was a likable enough asshole, but after that flip out.. sheesh.

Despite his misgivings for the captain, he couldn't actually imagine him as being responsible for any of this. No, he's not a saboteur or a murderer, just a shit, shit captain. When I get out of this, he's gonna get an investigative review and no mistake. After I tell the story of our valiant escape first.

But looking out the porthole at the vast expanse of frozen sea, the expanse that seemed to close in every day, he had his doubts that his criticisms of Michael would ever make it to print. He decided to head down to the galley anyway, note down some more idiotic things the captain was bound to say, just in case. Plus, he could use a walk.

As he got up, a technician entered the room.
"Killion, isn't it? What can I do for you?"
