As the pain of disinfecting a wound subsided, Ivan took up the scalpel he kept on the surgical table's tool compartment. and quickly looked over the shards in Killions hands. "Huh." He grunted. "Might take a little while." As he made the first incision to safely remove the shards without damaging more tissue, and the first drops of blood dropped on the table, Ivan noted that it was quite cold in the sick bay. He put down the scalpel in a sink that was fairly in need of a a wash, and picked up a pair of tweezers. With them he managed to get the shards out, after a while of exploring. He put them away in a sterile box and sealed it shut. "I'm sorry, I don't have enough string to sew small wounds, so you'll have to make do with bandages." Carefully he wrapped the hand in bandages. "Now try not to use it too much for the next few days. Unless you really need to. Might cause infection. And we don't want that."

He stood up and put on the hat he had left by the door. "Now, I've got to get myself some herring." And with that, Ivan left for the kitchens, in search of some food.

Chris decided to stay away from Jim, he looked like he would explode at any moment.
He got up, and headed back to his helicopter. He always kept supplies in the vehicle, if he was to get stranded (a box of <URL=http://www.mreinfo.com/images/menu-c/menu-c-mre-no10-meatballs.jpg>MREs, some water, a couple books, a few signal flares, etc.).
He could put some of those things to good use in this situation, assuming the helicopter's fall didn't break everything.
Hold on, the helicopter's radio!
He looked at Jim, "Hey, I've got a lot of similar equipment on this boat in my helicopter. Radio, Radar, and the like. Assuming that the crash didn't destroy anything important, do you think my equipment will work any better than the boat's?"

Jim stopped dead in front of the booze cabinet and turned his head towards Chris.

"Normally, I would be pissed at you for asking a question like that, but you look a little thick. So I'll humor you." Jim says calmly. He walks over to Chris putting his hands on the other man's cheeks and looking him straight in the eye. He then begins to speak very loudly and slowly.

"Helicopter...radios...are...meant...to....send...signals...over...short...distances...Did you get all of that? Cause I ain't fuckin repeating myself." Jim says, patting Chris on the shoulder and walking back to the booze cabinet.

"Of course, we could see if we could use the helicopter's equipment to amplify the signal of the boat's equipment." Jim says, looking at the ceiling as he did when he was deep in thought.
"You know what, go get the stuff, I'll see if I can handle it."

"Amplifying signal is kind of what I meant, but you seem kinda pissed right now, so I'll leave it alone." Chris said.
He left to get the equipment from his helicopter. "Let's see... A bit of food, some water, the radio, flares. That should be about it." He put all the items in a box and went to the radio.
"Here ya go," Chris said putting everything by the radio.
"And I did it all by myself!" he added sarcastically.

Jimmy watched with some interest as Jim walked up too Chris and held him close, saying something in slow menacing tones. This guy was on a rampage. What an angry angry man. "Hey Jim, sit down and relax mate. Getting steamed up wont help any one." He said, flashing the guy a friendly smile. He pulled out a mug and poured a measurement Whiskey into it, which he then sat rested on the bench before him, motioning too it with his hands, and to Jim with a nod of his head.

"Ahh, good! Some fuckin' liquor! I need something to help me forget all the idiocy around here. This place is as dry as a desert in may!" Jim says, sitting down next to Jimmy and pouring himself a glass.
"So boy, you seem to have a bit of intelligence and civility...what's your name, what's your story? How'd you end up on this doomed tub!" Jim asked, gesturing to the area around him and taking a gulp from his glass.

Killion paced around the now abandoned sick bay waiting for the pain in his hand to fade a bit more, accidentally kicking over the small garbage can in his agony-induced speed. As he cursed and bent down to clean it up, it occurred to him that his analysis of the bay wasn't exactly spot on. Sure, there wasn't anyone conscious around, but the comatose pilot was probably better company than he deserved. Killion walked up to the cot and looked at him. He looked better now, his colour and his breathing seemed decent, at least to a layman like himself. Fairly certain that the drug had worn off, Killion clapped loudly in front of the helmsman's face and was rewarded by him starting and leaping to his feet. It seemed he was a quick waker.
"Hi there. Get yourself to the captain, he'll probably want to talk to you."
Killion starts to turn, then twists his head back toward the pilot
"You missed all the fun".

After leaving the Med bay, Killion finds his way back to his workshop and sits down on the floor facing the ruins of his mini-core. This mission was over, it had ended. Failed. There wasn't any point restoring the AI anymore, as it couldn't get them out of this mess. It was useless without a vessel large enough to carry it, and it was too large for any normal vehicle to carry it. But, when it came down to it, Killion couldn't get it out of his mind.

This had been the first thing since the death of his sister that really made him want to work on it. So what if it was because he saw it as a hurdle that must be overcome? Any motivation was better than none, and maybe, just maybe, if he fixed this machine he could finally dispose of the wounds left by his sister's death so many years before. The AI wasn't vital to anyones' survival anymore, but that just made it all the more important to him. It had been far too long since he worked not because he needed to, but because he wanted to.

Whatever, thought Killion as he rose, There's no reason not to either.

OOC- I'm not very happy with that post, but whatever. Sorry about the NPC, but I figured it would be weird if he just slept forever with no one interrogating him. It's obvious he'll know nothing, but it seemed logical to send him up to the captain.

Jimmy smiled at Jim, hes a-typical naughty boy smile. "Well, as I was just telling Shanks here." Jimmy motioned to Shanks with his head as he spoke. "I always dreamt of a life of piracy and misadventure. You know, its a pretty common childhood dream isn't it?" As he spoke Jimmy poured himself a measure of the whiskey too. He hadn't had a drink all day but felt like now was as good a time as any to get one down. "Of course; the reality of it is that no one actually becomes a pirate, so instead i settled for the next best thing, working on this here boat." Jimmy through back the liquid as he finished drinking. It burnt down his throat, but the heat was a pleasant change to the unrelenting arctic cold. "I mean, of course their are more factors too it then that; but in a nut shell, I saw the opportunity to sail out into my dreams arrive, so I took it. You know Jim, opportunity doesn't knock twice. Even if you've got a door bell." He smiled at his own wit, the poured out another measure of drink for himself, Jim, and Shanks.

"But I've got to admit, this is making me a bit nervous. Everyone seems so riled up right now, and worried. Heaps of people on edge, in such a small space." Jimmy looked around to make sure no one else was listening in but the three of them. "You do the math mate, I've seen arguments in pubs go bad over small things; and then people have the opportunity to walk away. But all this high tension drama, with only the boat around us for space." Jimmy shock his head as the threw back the second drink. "I just hope the captain keeps a close lead over all this is all I'm saying."

"What about you?" He then added thoughtfully. Although he had mingled with most of the crew during the voyage, he hadn't rally sat down and got to know any of them that well yet, and truth be told that was what he loved doing. It reminded him of his cafe days, spending entire afternoons just having a yarn with his regular customers. Jimmy was never one to pass up a good yarn; ever.

Chris decided to stop talking to himself and take what was his to his room. The radio, and all.
If that guy was going to be a jerk for no reason, I don't think he deserves this stuff.
And since when is a satellite commnications radio short-range? Hold on, maybe I should have mentioned this stuff wasn't for the chopper, it was for another dropoff.
He stopped for a moment, contemplating whether he should put the stuff back by the radio. Yeah, maybe. If he gets this crap to work, I'll be outta here sooner.
He put the radio back and took his other stuff back to his room.
A while later, he returned to the mess hall. "Yo, I got that comsat radio by the other radio. Do what you want with it." He returned to his food and began reading a book he got off the helicopter.

"A fuckin' pirate?" Jim said, already a bit tipsy, his face red. "I wish I'd thought o' that! Noooo. I had to spend all my time inside, working on fuckin' radios just help my fuckin' family get by! Well you know what, friends? I'm Fuckin' sick of it! Sick of the leeches, sick of the idiots, sick of everything." All this time, Jim had been rummaging in the liquor cabinet for another bottle or two.
"Ahahahh, what's this?" Jim said, raising the bottle triumphantly. "I didn't know this tub had anything good in it. But this, fine gentle men, may be some of the finest liquor you will ever taste!"
Jim was in the middle of this speech when he saw Chris walk in.
"Oh look, it's the brains of the operation. Fuck off! We havin' a drink here that a lower class of person can't touch!" And with that, Jim popped the cork from the bottle and took a swig straight from it, downing most of the bottle.
His lips came away from the cold glass with a sickly look about them, then he threw up and fell to the floor, the bottle shattering next to him.
So what?

"Look, I don't like you being condescending toward me for trying to-" He stopped his train of thought and started to laugh at Jim drunkenness. Such a tough-guy, can't even take a simple drink.
"Should we get him out of here?" Chris asked Jimmy. "Or at least clean up his mess?"

Jimmy sighed. He had a feeling there would be repercussions for this. "Can you get him up to the sick bay, I'll clean up the mess. It is kind of my fault." Jimmy grinned sheepishly as he spoke, then once he had finished he set about diligently cleaning up the vomit, spilled liquor, and broken glass. "Did you have to go waste a good bottle like that though?" He scolded casually. He didn't really care about the lost alcohol, but he figured some one else might. Maybe he would have been better off giving it all to Tsurugi after all. "Get Shanks to give you a hand if you need it." Jimmy offered to Chris.

Tsurugi, with the alcohol over his shoulder, approached the Med Bay door as it opened and the pilot walked out. He jumped back in surprise, "Oh you're awake." The man just sort of stared at him for a minute, a calculating look, before running off.

Muttering to himself Tsurugi pushed open the door, expecting to find Killion or at least Ivan still in the Med Bay. The room was empty, the garbage can by the door tipped over. Looks like everyone was in a hurry to get out of here. Now what the hell am I supposed to do with this alcohol? Damn Doctor and his errands.

Walking over Tsurugi set the bag full of alcohol down on one of the shelves. "Well screw him. If he isn't going to stick around then neither am I." He left the room shutting the door a bit harder then he realized. Muttering to himself about how all people were idiots he turned down a hallway. He had noticed earlier that people didn't tend to be down the side hallways. After the treatment he had gotten from Jim on the stairway, the pilot and Ivan he wanted to be away from people. They had a right to be stressed out in a situation like this but there was no reason to take it out on him when he was only trying to help. A sound echoed down the hallway and Tsurugi came to a stop. Somebody was nearby and even though he didn't feel like talking to anybody he was curious as to what the noises were so he moved closer.

After going around a bend he saw the doorway from where the sound was coming and walked inside. Inside he saw Killion working on something that didn't look familiar to Tsurugi. He knocked lightly on the door and spoke up, "What are you doing?"

Chris put Jim in the Med Bay, and put him on one of the cots. Now, back to whatever it was I was doing before.
He opened the door to find someone with a bag over his shoulder staring at him. Should I tell him Jim's in there unconscious? Nah. Chris then sped off, trying to figure out what he was going to do with that radio.

Michael walked into the mess hall and heard Jim making fun of the other crew mates. Michael walked up to him and asked "What the hell is your problem? The shit has hit the fan and you have decided the best course of action is to act like a complete and total fuck to everyone on the ship? Trying to be a tough guy? You are pathetic." Michael scolded him. Damnit I don't want to piss the crew off but when they are acting like assholes how are we gonna get to safety...

No I'm not stifling your creativity! Your character is being a jackass and the captain attempted to intervene. I love the avatar by the way. Also where is Galt?

Also, my character IS a jackass, I 'm just playing him the way I imagine him. And the remark about stifling creativity was a joke.
