Sheik felt Yoshi run behind his legs. He turned to the creature.
"Its ok little fella. Don't worry I will not allow anyone to harm you."
Yoshi then ran to the doctor who became overwhelmed by what he saw and fell onto the floor unconscious. Sheik ran to the man. He tapped him lightly on the cheek.

And I'm sorry for not posting anything in a while. It's been pretty darn hectic here
I got some time before I must go again, so I'll trhow in this:
Shap. You're right. Half of the point of this, si that it's supposed to be a bit more serious than AA. Partially because you guys are on a quest, moving somewhat linear. You could think of it as a game. That's what I do.
ALso about the thinking-situations. I think people fail to see that those situations are there to make people think. To make them come up with a good solutions. The reason I include them, are not to just fill the story. It's not some kind of fun post, I thought of the second I posted it. It's supposed to be a challenge. It's supposed to be a barrier for the protagonists. I use it for you guys to think of a clever way through it. And for me to make this thing a bit deeper. We can all agree that no_clipping the entire map is not as fun, as cracking the challenges.
If they insist on blasting their way through it all, then fine. Have it their way. I'll just think of as many challenges as possible, and hope that one succeds in making the players think for a second. But the ideal, was if they would actually take their time thinking of every challenge. Thus having a bit more fun, and no_clip a bit less.
I'm not sure if you guys know that I've drawn the entire first chapter, with every side way possible, a story for every corner, and specific mobs for every turn. I don't make this up as I go. As soon as I have time, I'll make the entire next chapter.
I'm creating things I think through. And I even try to make it as open as possible. Same with the think-situations. I make one seemingly obvious solution. Then I include a whole lot of other items and details, so that you might even think of a solution that never occured to me.

The Scout backs up from the safehouse 50 meters to get a running start. He runs towards the lowest broken entry point on the face of the building, double jumps, then turns his Force'A'Nature behind him and fires a shot to propel him thru into a broken window 2 floors up.
"D... Stiles. Doctor Stiles." Derek said, watching as a red-maned man sidled up to the armored "Samus" woman. For some reason, he didn't feel comfortable with these people knowing his first name.
Derek ignored the man's irritating flirting as he attempted to concentrate. He needed supplies, and badly. "E-excuse me? Would you happen to know of a nearby hospital? A clinic?"
Samus turned to Sheik "Make that weapons. I'm pretty sure some of these could severely hurt people who get in my way." she responded before heading off in the direction of the mall behind Wolf.
"You remind me of a girl I know back home," Zelos said to Samus, "Sheena, she threatened me like that too." Zelos laughed at the memories, "but she's with Lloyd now, so that means I'm still looking for a leading lady." Zelos followed Yoshi into the mall, leaving Sheik and Samus speechless at his brashness.
"What's up little guy? You don't like me hitting on the girls?" Zelos said to the green dinosaur, "OK, I'll lighten it up," Zelos said, patting Yoshi on the head and continuing towards the mall.
The protagonists came to the mall, seeing Scout rumble around on third floor. The Scouts group joined in with the rest of the protagonists, as they entered the safehouse to gather supplies. Yoshi went away to the electrical store for flashlights and batteries, since it was now in the middle of the night and very dark. They could find some small packages with bread stoved away in a cooling bag. Most of them were destroyed, but there were about five pieces still eatable. Since Stiles were the one who was the most hungry, he got a whole piece of bread, while the others shared two and two.
They were ready to move on. Looking backwards, there was no way it would be preferable to go that way. Every access point had been blocked by walls, and behind the walls zombies and combines were still fighting one masive war. Going back would grant them nothing but trouble.
So they headed forward. Or upward, if you will. The fallen highway provided a safe way to get up to the still standing part of it. So that's were the protagonists went. Nine people walked through the night with each of their own flashlights. Non of them new eachother from before, thus creating a rather awkward silence. The group were somewhat devided into a lesser group. In front Sheik, Samus and Yoshi were walking while scouting ahead. Behind them Stiles were walking alone. He still didn't feel comfortable being too close to any of the others. Behind the five remaining protagonists were walking by themselves, following the group in front of them.
The highway were high above the ground. No buildings were to see on either end, unless you looked down from the side. The width of the highway were a total of 13 metres. It had four lanes, two in each direction. Each lane was three metres wide. And in the middle of the four lanes, there was one metres clearance between the two sides. It was too dark for the protagonists to make out any specific details, but they were able to feel the poor maintanance.
After the had been working for a while. they could hear voices in front of them. "I swear! She's so loud I have to wear ear protection every time we fuck!". It seemed as if there were actual people in fron of them. People they could communicate with. This was a pleasing thought for the protagonists. They almost ran up to the voices.
When they closed in, they could see cars. Cras blocking the road. As they apporached the cars, they heard a mans voice. Judging from the voice, he was an old chap. "Wait! Stop! Hold it right there!" The protagonists did as ordered. The last thing they needed right now was another fight. "Wait. Are you .. You in the middle. You look like a doctor of some kind .. Are you?". Stiles hesitatet unsure if he should give out his occupation to a stranger. "Yes. Yes he is" Sheik responded. "Great! We sure need a doctor around here. One last two got killed during the last attack. The other one got zombiefied by the headcrab. Damn those!" They could see the man clearly from the light of the flashlights. He had semi-long white beard. He had a Derby on his head. He also had a black worn-down suit covered with bulletproof vest and gun-holsters all around. "I'm getting ahead of myself. Come on in, doctor. Bring your friends as well. But green horses and wolf-pets must stay outside. Safety measures." Yoshi did not like to be called a horse, but he was cut off by Wolf O'Donnel. "Hey! I'm no regular pet. Let me in, dude. I'm as humanoid as you" the old man were suprised by Wolfs approach. Fine. But no horses either way. Now it was Yoshis turn to react. But SHeik calmed him down, and reassured him they would be back soon.
The protagonists were let inside the camp. It was tents all around. Tents held up by cars. There were all kinds of supplies lying around, including food and ammo. There was a total of 9 people in this camp. 5 of them including the old man were armed. The four others were two women and two children. They were staying in the middle preparing food and what not. "Isn't this a bit ... Sesxist?" Samus asked the old man. "Hell no. They're the only ones able to clean and cook. And besides. We'r'e keeping it this way, so they can be ambushers if our camp is infiltrated." The old man replied. "Are you sure that's not against some kind of war-law?" Scout asked "War law?? Hah! War laws dissapeared when this menacing machine used human blood for fuel." A grim grimace laid down on the old mans face. "Uh .. Excuse me ... If I'm supposed to help around .. I kinda need some medical supplies .. You know if there is any?" Stiles asked the old man. "Yes" the old man said while opening a tent. There was five people lying on madtrasses inside. One seemed to be leathaly injured, two major and two minor. "Have fun" the old man said while handing Stiles a box of basic medical supplies. When Stiles entered the tent, he could see a operation table and more complex medical supplies. Still nothing like a hospital. Some tools were even replaced by dirty knives and saws.
"What you say two of you guys stick around and help the doctor out, eh? He might need it." before they could decide on who should stay in the tent, the old man continued. "You." He said looking at Samus. "You look dangerous. What you say you'll be my second in command. I need some powerful tactics for the upcoming attack. And the rest of you. Feel free to have a nap, food or talk to any of the locals. They don't bite. Exept Timothy, of course. But he's long deaceased"
Sorry for long time between posts. And don't worry. When I get back off work, I'll explain more. And I'll be interacting with you guys as well. Just post your posts and such in the meantime. If any of you interact with the NPCs, I'll post replies when I'm back
