Game-Damning Glitches

Any glitches you've had that screwed you're game over?

Spoiler: Oblivion Ending Spoilers

My biggest one's on Oblivion. Keep in mind this is a level 40-ish vampiric high elf. Due to a series of unfortunate events, and my own stupidity, I managed to get through the main quest-line until you bring Martin into the Temple of the One. I ran on by due to Mehrunes stomping my ass into the ground. Well, it auto-saved. But I died in there because I was getting fire damage. I got pissed, and played around on my evil person. Slaughter, pillage, etc. etc. Then I deleted the save point I made. Except that it was the other guy's main save! I hoped to save the file by going to the auto save. But then the hilarious glitch happened.

When I load, within .2 seconds (I timed it), it says "Martin has been slain, all is lost." Thus ends the sad tale of an awesome vampire ice elf...

I once blasted a Krogan Warlord off a catwalk with Biotics in Mass Effect. He fell down underneath the walkway, but he wasn't dead. Neither side could shoot the other, and I needed to kill him to finish one of the sidequests on Feros! I could hear him down there, blasting away his shotgun to no effect. Not even my grenades were getting to him.

So much for that. He's still down there, for all I know.

Well, once, while playing Assassin's Creed, I assassinated a blighter and then proceeded to jump off the boat he was in, and accidentally fell into the water (which kills, since Altair can't swim.) However, when I killed the guy, the game auto-saved.. So I was stuck respawning, falling into water, dying, rinse and repeat. But I restarted the game and it was fine.

Not so much a glitch, but.. I never really come across them, I'm lucky like that.

Not so much a glitch, but I've had the power fail on me more times then I care to count (often enough to warrant a battery backup for my game station). The only time a glitch screwed me over was in Assassin's Creed, the game glitched and wouldn't load any of the cities, even after restarting the game.

Corrupted save files piss me off the most. That is second only to Call of Duty WaW (I'm not sure the best way to say this but) people who fall in to the graphics were they cant be seen and just keep killing You

glitchy achievements are very annoying (i'm looking at you CoD4)but glitches that make you fall through the level with no way out are by far the absolute worst

I had the same thing happen to me in mass effect, but lucky for me i didn't need to kill the guy. Also, my council chamber was really really laggy for some reason, i mean it only went like 1/3 as fast as the rest of the game.

I remember back when I played KoTORII... Maaan was THAT annoying! There were a ton of bugs, but a certain one happened in the very last mission. You had about a 50% chance of getting a black screen. You couldn't even load back and do some missions over to alter this, you had to start all the way over! So stupid.

Yeah, I know some people who had the same problem. Annoyed them to no end that they had no idea what was going on for half the Council Chambre scene there.

When playing PSP the home screen pops up and you always screw up or exit the game. I almost swore off PSP completely.
