Did not laugh once didn't eaven smile, bad voice acting mediocre animation slightly above avrage music and just a really bad idea in general. Give it up. Just take the whole project behind the shed and shoot it... See: Dogs do not equal funny. A good show should be funny eaven without all the characters being dogs, this show isn't funny eaven with the dogs, infat I dont think anything exept familguy has ever done this well. Stop this right now, before the escapist loses its credibilaty.

Pretty crappy, have watched both so far, and they both fell pretty flat on their faces. Like most who commented here, I'll give it one more chance before I give up on it.

I kinda liked this episode. It made my smile but it didn't make me laugh. I think this show has potential but it seems to be lacking of the funny department. The animation is pretty good to me. I will keep watching it though but at least finish one season despite the majority of the escapists not liking it.

The "Funny Department" is kinda crucial in a sitcom :p

This show either needs longer episodes to flesh out characters or make good use of time it has with change in tone. I feel like I watched 4 minutes of the Office, and I love the Office, but it succeeds in set ups, atmosphere and pay offs over 20 minutes. Maybe this is all set up for something funny, but as of now just feels lifeless.

I am curious as to the creative process and when the writers either found something amusing or entertaining or provocative. I'm not going to give up on it yet, but it needs to find its style soon.

Oh...I will ask, no more "radical".

It seems most of the comments are not very positive.
Sadly, mine is no different.

It was a definite improvement from the first episode, where there were WAY too many "ha ha, look, we're dogs and dogs do people things! Look!" jokes, but it just wasn't very funny.

I'll try watching next week, but i am in some pretty heavy doubt, and if it doesn't deliver, I might just stop watching.

Your choice, but I really must say, I've never seen so many new people (Or minimal posters) in one thread, and about 70% of them are sending hate messages. Well, 'least you backed up your opinion unlike most people so hey, thumbs up for constructive opinions.

When Bob entered the room, I about lost it! That was hilarious! My favorite part! I love BOB!
Seems to me like you are easily amused.

Look, a dog with a hat on his head! And he's waggling his tail!

lol yeah, that was pretty funny ... but that's about it.

I guess you have to have a certain sense of humor for this show ...?

Anyway, I thought the music was really cool. :)

I wanna be clear, I am trying to give this a chance...
I want to like it because there's nothing I hate more than content I don't wanna go near on this website...

That being said I had to force myself to click on this and it was through mostly willpower alone that I didn't click to go somewhere else...

I'm sorry Escapist but I really don't see this appealing to me.

Sadly I agree with most others here. Big Bob was mildly amusing but I didn't even smile once while watching this... To make it watchable you really need some jokes, or failing that some grotesque violence... I'll give it one more try next week but don't have my hopes up. :eek:/

By comparison, episode 1 of the other new series (Doraleous & Associates) had me giggling like a schoolgirl on three separate occasions - I highly recommend checking that one out!

How about a British cat in a Trilby hat who makes life rough for the GameDogs with his ridiculously high standards and snarky comments?
YEAH!

You're a genius.
Fuck the LameDogs, I'd rather just watch a series about the cat.

I'm still on the fence about this series. I didn't really laugh at this and I felt it didn't strike an interesting parallel to the real world.

I did like the whole bit about the 'idea dog' describe his game, which reminded me a bit of The Legend of Zelda and is the big St. Bernard dog supposed to be like the Stapler guy from Office Space? Cause that was cute.

Good grief y'all what's with the hostility? It was funny. I enjoyed it, and Zombie Shepards of Castle Yargenbark sounds hilarious. I will say that I thought the Dungeons and Dogs episode was a tad funnier, but I actually am enjoying this show despite my previous hesitation.

I heard Warcraft music. Seriously.

I'm not sure what I think yet. It's still early days, I'll grant them that, but some of the voices are a bit iffy (such as the manager dog). Time will tell, I suppose.

OT: Russ' work isn't that funny, nor good, actually I can't remember anything memorable coming from him. He may be the big chief, but all the good stuff only comes from his staff, which are pretty talented people. And this is quite a shame. If he would let the writing to someone else probably the show would improve.
That's a fair criticism, although it reveals you're a definitely new to The Escapist. ;) I don't write a lot anymore, but based on the wealth of articles I wrote in my first two or three years here, I'm still (I think) ranked as one of the top 5 most prolific writers in the site's history. You should dig through the archives a bit. I think you'll enjoy some of what I did before I became "big chief."

These days, what with being big and chiefly and all, I don't have as much time to write, but I like to think that my influence lives on through the work of my talented underlings, and the various video series creators with whom I work on a daily basis. Game Dogs is just gravy ;)

Also, apologies for the slow start in this episode. It was unavoidable, really. Exposition is death. I think we're getting better with each episode (both in writing and animation) and I can't wait for you guys to see what's coming.
