OT: Russ' work isn't that funny, nor good, actually I can't remember anything memorable coming from him. He may be the big chief, but all the good stuff only comes from his staff, which are pretty talented people. And this is quite a shame. If he would let the writing to someone else probably the show would improve.
Try reading his latest Editor's Note [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/editors_note/7045-Editors-Note-Editors-Choice].
It's kinda ironic that he speaks of mediocrity while Game Dogs is nothing but bland, stereotypical show with humor taken straight from the worst of gamer webcomics and sitcoms.

The show is nothing innovative, nothing that was not done before a thousand of times. Reading his notes makes me wonder what internet is he browsing, because from what I can tell mediocrity is not welcome here.

Ugh, they use the comedy and humor tags pretty loosely here don't they?

I gave the first two episodes a try and my time would be better spent watching The Phantom Menace. The show is just awful.
Too true.

Even Dane Cook is funnier than this tripe.

again like the pilot it drew a few chuckles being the nerd I am tho thats the thing, the show gets a unfair advantage since I´m both a proud nerd and a furry so the show looks better to me then what it really is.

I´ll give it a few episodes and as long as they can make me chuckle I´m watching.

Radical. RADICAL. RADICAL?!?! NEVER use that word again, please.

I still cant see this going anywhere good, it's just a bunch of shitty jokes focused around "lols they r dogz not ppl but they do ppl thingz roflcopters", which unsurprisingly is not funny.

Sorry, unless the next episode pulls of something truly inspirational then I for one will be giving this a wide berth.

so is the guy who writes the jokes off sick or something?
it just feels like the build up to a joke without a punch line.
weak guys, seriously weak.

I gave it a chance and it's failed. Too boring and the animation still sucks. I know someone is going to reply with "I don't see you making a video" or something along those lines, but I can't bake a cake either and if someone handed me a cake which is completely burned and filled with hair it's still a bad cake no matter whether I could bake it or not.
The Animation doesn't have to be the highest quality that any Asian team can provide. South Park is poorly animated, though I do admit, it was a little bland. Good work though, I laughed at the small dog looking at the audiance.

Not really.
It's more like the first one, or WW.
In A Link To The Past, you didn't get a white sword
Well in the first Zelda you get no backstory at all and in Wind Waker you don't wander off because of defeating evil, you want to rescue your sister, so with this story in mind the first Zelda that came to my mind was A link to the past. And in WW you don't have a wooden sword.
But I wasn't sure about adding A link to the past, but the ruckus I created it was definatly worth it.
But of course I was pointing out the obvious, I was aware of that.

It has potential.....but still. Not as good as it could be.

Pros: Atleast there was a little character development.
Animations were better,
got the plot moveing,
had some good ideas for jokes.

Cons: Animations are stiff,
characters are pretty typical,
Please stray away from 90's era wording.

Note: Why did Roger pull out a sword agian? I see the implication, but it just dosn't work.

Keep working hard, don't give up!

wasn't as bad as some of these guys are making it sound, but could've been better. Also agree that saying everything twice (TWICE!) has gotten annoying fast. Will keep watching to see where it goes, but my optimism is starting to fade.

I really don't see why people hate this series. The jokes might not be the best in the world, but I think they're still funny. Also: Guys, it's the second episode of the series. Two episodes of anything is not enough time to judge.

Unrelated: Gary's face when he looks at the audience is priceless.

How about a British cat in a Trilby hat who makes life rough for the GameDogs with his ridiculously high standards and snarky comments?
YEAH!

You're a genius.
That would definitely be great to watch! LOL

I agree with some of hte people above.. The sword being pulled on Gary was a tad random... I understand fully as to why it was pulled, but the timing was waaay off. Gary was just going to give his idea for a game when it was pulled...

As a show about game development this has potential to be really relevant and funny. However it is not living up to that potential so far. Perhaps we have all been spoiled by the genius of Dilbert, but this show is failing in its delivery.

I can't empathize with any of the characters, and I am a D&D playing programmer who tries to make games in my spare time. They all seem like paper thin stereotypes of various job titles. The situation they are in, while absurd, is not absurd in a funny way.

I hope this show gets better, it is just not very good right now.

The trouble here is, its clear that the effort was put forth here. It just never pays off.
Jokes basically panned, the only time I smirked was when Roger said you can't make a career off cheap rip-offs while looking directly into the camera. But everyone treated that has a true statement. If you had pushed it just a little further, you might have had actual satire.

I mean Gamedogs is clearly someone's pet project. Ignore that unintentional pun or the penalty it death. I mean, someone really wanted this to work, carefully made sure they got the right people and put in enough hours. On paper, it all looks good. The internet is a mediocracy though, and this just doesn't have the legs.

I'm no expert, but I'm going to try to give some critical analysis and see if I can help in someway:

First, the writer needs to come out of his shell and take some chances. This stuff is all a bit bland. Don't be afraid to lampoon "Electronic Barks" or whatever and trust that the audience knows what you're talking about. Get topical, or maybe nostalgic. Go for the high-brow stuff, or maybe get in your audience's face. Heck, do all of it and swing back and forth like you have ADHD, at least until you find something that clicks.

Second, don't worry about stiff animation. We're gamers, we know all about animation sucking and not caring. What that means is, give your characters more interesting stuff to do. The implication of a funny act is probably enough, even if the animation holds it back. As it stands, its 3 characters sitting at a table talking. Any director will tell you that is suicide.

Last, Radical is fine. So it Bitchin. If characters grow on an audience than words will become acceptable because the character used them. If Malcom Reynolds and Kaylee weren't impossibly cool, they would be laughed at for calling things "shiny".

or you could just kill this series. If you do, don't regret its creation. There's goodness here, scattered about. This is a setback to a bunch of talented people, but it is not a disaster or a failure. It's more like strike one.

Still not incredibly funny, but it has plot now, and it has potential. Chet's monologue being Legend of Zelda was great.

The writing isn't that bad. It just need more working. I mean the story will develope with time.
And also the animation seemed smoother this time.
