Game Dogs Is Dead.

Looks like it finally happened. The show seemed to be running out of ideas after the end of season one, and now they've killed off most of their main characters. Game Dogs got dragged on for a while there but now it seems pretty much over. I can't say i'm happy about it, but things were going nowhere and I can't really say i'm surprised either. Any thoughts? Any one actually like the show anymore? Any one actually care that it's probably dead?

Seconded. I tried on no less that 5 occasions to watch it. I found it boring and unfunny.

I'm not really shocked, given the backlash it received week upon week, but I always thought it was alright. That said, I haven't got around to watching any of the second series yet. I've been really bad at keeping up with videos on here this year, haven't even seen Rebecca Mayes for months and that's one of my absolute favourites.

the escapist has ALOT of daily/weekly video stuff, appealing to various audianceses within a selected demographic, but seriously, how many is enough? or even too many, for them? there's a few i never gave 2 shit's about, but i can see how they have appeal, and keep running strong, and others, i saw once, and was like "your fucking shitting me, right? -_- THIS made it to a semi prestiguise position!? well call fox news, they can now be called "popular" >_>"

I wanted to like it, but it was just fail after fail. The few times they did something funny, it got ruined by taking the joke too far. I'd welcome it back if it can resolve it's issues, but it seemed like the humor wasn't revolving around making fun of games as much as just using Dilbert office humor to try to be entertaining. That's what they did wrong with the series, because at least Dilbert has the office stereotypes that you can build jokes off of. No one in Game Dogs felt like that, and so you just had a lot of people (or dogs) bitching (no pun intended) at each other for no good reason.

I liked it, at the beginning.. I think that after the hostile criticism over the last episode pushed the thing into "the Escapist doesn't want to be associated with content like this".

I tried to like Game Dogs, i really did, i watched a fair few of the episodes, it just wasn't funny, the writing was bland and drawn out, it went of alot of steriotypes and had no real story to speak of, Russ is better than that, he has tallent, but it's not in comedy.

On the other hand, lets hope that bad experiment called I Hit It With My Axe goes the same way.

Considering that there have been no update for the last 3 weeks (they usually out on Thursday at the same time as Doraleous and Associates) I agree with you. If it's some kind of a update or something then it's a lame excuse for the long wait considering they had months to start season 2.

Nah in reality it just didn't stack up to the other video content of the site. There just wasn't enough screen time to sustain the sitcomesc of the practically non existent plot. I hope the escapist will accept its mistakes and shovel more money into making things like Doraleous and Apocalypse lane.

I tried to get into it, but I thought that it was rather bland. I have not yet seen "I hit it with my axe" but with what people are saying about it, I think it would be wise to avoid it.

Just noticed that its side tab thing on the homepage is now gone. This usually only happens to the shows that have since concluded and a considerable amount of time has passed.Maybe the escapist is just trying to sweep this thing under the rug. personally i dont blame them because like i said before a web show without defining personality or an at least tangible plot line just wont survive in this day and age.

I personally didn't like it. I watched the pilot and was unimpressed. So thus never watched any other episodes.
