Game Dogs: Pilot Episode: D&D Kills

A bunch of furries playing violent geek games in a basement'esque room? That's a good idea. The dialogue could use a bit of work, and the small dog was a bit too much like that cat from Apocalypse Lane - Cuddles doing the better half. Take that dog out into the street and shoot it, and I will give it a second chance.

On the by, is it me or is the reception for this pilot identical to the reception for A.L.? Most people posting were unamused and/or hated it. I thought this one was a step better - my time did not feel wasted. And I'm curious to see where you are going to take this.

I will say, the first epsiode was kind of funny. it was actually a bit better than the first episode of Apocalypse Lane, and look how awesome that show turned out to be.

I wanted to like it but it really wasn't funny at all. I half expected there to be a laugh track because it was so much like a sitcom. A geeky sitcom.

Gave it a chance and yup, still pretty terrible and not one redeeming quality.

I'm sure if I wanted to hear the same jokes I've heard about D&D for the last 20 years I could at least find them somewhere that had better animation and was at least clever about it.

I guess ripping off the Clerks cartoon was their witty way to branch out at least?
