I laughed a couple times. Good work on a pilot episode. Will watch more :D

I don't get why everyone is flipping out about the anthropomorphic art. I mean, sure it might be a little gimmicky, but is it THAT big of a deal in the big scheme of things? Also, presence of anthro art does not equal instant furry. Come on, a friend of mine draws anthro art simply because she thinks animals are more fun to draw than humans.

Back on topic: Good for a first episode. Could stand to be a little longer, although production time doesn't really allow for that. The jokes seemed a little forced at times, but once the characters get fleshed out a bit I'm sure the dialogue will become less stiff.

Looking forward to next week!

I didn't laugh once, or even giggle. Jolly poor show chaps. I definitely won't be watching again anyway.

Theme song was great though.
Oh come on, you have to watch it again after they introduced the characters.

Wow, this got over 300 replies. That's a hundred more than ZP's average. I guess the trailers worked well.

I'm... underwhelmed. I'd like to say I'll keep an eye on this, but I said I would for Apocalypse Lane, and didn't. So there.

Not gonna lie on this one. I'm loving Bethany. Maybe it's just my own personal derangement, or the fact that I have what has been described as "a crippling addiction to bitches", but I think this series has some potential.

Well, I thought it was really quite nifty. Sure, there were a few animation. . . rough spots, and the sword made things just a bit too slapstick, but I definitely enjoyed this, and I'm looking forward to next week.

And pardon my being fresh from LRR, but are so many people always this negative in video threads? A disproportionate number of you guys seem really harsh for 'critiquing' (in the broadest sense of the word) an entirely new show.

Don't listen to them, Russ et al; keep it up. We need a thursday show, anyway :D

Not very funny, IMO. Went nowhere, and the jokes didn't really fly. Nice try, but all it was seemed to be a try.

Looks like it could be good, just have to wait and see where the story goes once the introductions are over and the real story begins.

Overall, I'm fairly optimistic about this series.

Pilots are supposed to capture the essence of a series, and I'm afraid I just don't think this one is worthwhile. I mean I'll give anything a chance a few times, but if I was hosting this site and had a number of features to choose from I'm not sure if I'd pick this one. On the other hand if it's all you've got, run with it.

I dunno who will read this but my thoughts were basically:

#1: It was horribly uncreative. It was basically ripping off "Knights Of The Dinner Table" in style (at least for the format) and making referances to decades old RPG scares. I'm surprised as many viewers got the referances as did (or did they?) but I thought it was kind of antagonistic on some levels, irreverantly mocking people the RPG community should be glad have turned their attitudes elsewhere. Also making light of some real issues like how a guy named Egbert (if I remember) got lost in some subway tunnels, setting off a lot of the contreversy when Gary Gygax was flip in response struck me as being an unusually bad idea. I am also guessing the "who has a sword for real?" bit is a referance to the old urban legend about some nerd who dressed up in armor and a sword to go hang out in the park and "live like his character" for a while. He allegedly found a bear, attacked it with his sword, and got mauled badly even though he lived. Differant versions say he was a MUD player or an RPGer. Both these incidents were alleged to in movies like "Mazes and Monsters" and (even more lulzworthy) "Skullduggery".

I'm not saying that I think every episode would be on the subject of RPGs even, or like this, but while I can appreciate irreverant humor, I think there is a line between that and poking a badger (so to speak). If your going to do that, make sure you have a reason for doing it, and know what your going into. Mock people enough, and referanc sensitive issues, and eventually old grudges can be renewed. As foolish as I think the anti-RPG crowd is, and as much time as I spent argueing with them over the years, I also don't believe in looking for fights especially on this subject when it's basically over with.

#2: Really banal anthromorphic humor is just that. Inserting "dog" referances into normal seeming stuff because the characters talking are anthromorphic dogs CAN be cute once in a while, but even in a 5 minute clip it seems like a good part of the humor was hinging on this.

Simply put I understand why "Unforgotten Realms" was canned, however judging by this it doesn't impress me even as much as that did.

Eh, it made me smile. No laughs or anything, but it was kind of amusing. I'll give the series a chance.

Eh. I have mixed feelings about this one. The actual episode felt really short in comparison to the overly long intro and outro credits. The humor was ok but I don't understand why it's dogs of all things.

It's alright... will look forward to more in the future.

A lot better than the trailer made me think it was gonna be.

This was quite good in my own opinion, I'm looking forward to seeing more of it.
