I took a break from certain games when I would look around and see polygons and texture layers in everyday things. Particularly natural things for some reason, like leaves, clouds and the clear sky was an easy one because it pretty much always looks like a digital gradient to me.
I always thought that fog was god turning down the draw distance.
I wonder how much lag he gets.

If there is a game I am playing constantly, I end up thinking about it when I am not playing it and it can affect my dreams!
As for the person who sent the letter though, it might be they have someone in their life who is making them feel bad about themselves, but they feel that if they spoke back they would get into trouble for it.
Does anyone else feel that?
don't know if im allowed to say this but i send the letter, at the time it was more not being able to hurt another human (no matter how blood splattered and cannibalistic) even if it meant survival. About the part of someone in my life making me feel bad about myself is very true, several people make me feel that way.

"a client" ??? Isn't he supposed to say "a patient" ?
Patients are sick people seeing a doctor. Clients are people who have hired someone to do work for them. Both are applicable, and "client" doesn't have the "sick" connotation.

I've been paying attention to my dreams and since there haven't been any real changes to my habits, I've been able to capture a few patterns.

1. Rejection from loved ones.

2. Zombies or conspiracies or madness or otherwise a cause for everybody in the world to be against me.

3. Whatever video game I'd happened to be playing at the time.

You see how the last one doesn't necessarily reflect my state of mind... it's just an unavoidable side-effect of all the video games I play. Zombies in dreams can mean more, seeing as how they are the walking dead/a soulless monster in a human form... but I don't have the credentials to tell you what it means either. The only part I can recognize for sure is helplessness (not making contact with the sledgehammer).

I think it's very normal that you dream about your day. And if you spend so SO much time playing wow, it obviously gets a big part of that subconcious process aswell.
Sadly it's true with so many boring things you do all day... if you have ever dreamed about fucking economic studies, you know what I mean.

I'm sorry to hear that! :( Isn't there someone you can speak to that can offer you help?

"For example, studying for a test is like farming materials for raid flasks--dull and boring, but necessary if you want to succeed."

I can expect to dream about whatever game I'm into at the moment. I sort of look forward to it, because a usually dream a game better than I can play it. By that, I mean that the dream is better and more involving than the game, and that I am better at it.

While I cannot say I never day dream, I found the account of not being able to apply ones thought to anything else as unfamiliar. Is it just me? Games have never hijacked my thought when doing other things.

"Sometimes a sledgehammer is just a sledgehammer." That will be tickling me for at least the rest of the day! A persistent song or good line is one thing that can hijack my mind, and this may have done that.

I dream rarely, but in the rare case that it happens I usually have some memory afterward of the dream and can tell just what event or experience or whatever from my real life urged the dream to come..(and no, I've never had video game dreams..)

I remember the first time I played Minecraft. I played long into the night, and I remember having the same experience that Dr. Mark describes, Minecraft became the setting for my dream.

It was weird.

Mostly, when I try to interpret my dreams, I try to consider my emotional state during the dream before the content of the dream itself.

I found the bit about relating real life activities to game tasks especially revealing. I came upon doing this myself, relating things like chores to quick grab quests or skill training. It makes me smile just thinking about it, but pretending that I'm my own MMORPG toon helps me get menial work done a lot faster.
