A zombie game based around defense. It would have two distinct stages, Day and Night.
During the day, the controls are like a third person action game, in fact, preferably almost exactly like Assassin's Creed, but with guns. The day phases point is to gather materials to build barricades and have food and ammo. You have to think on wether you have time to repair that window, AND run out for more food.
During the night, it plays like L4D. You defend as waves of seemingly endless zombies appear, trying to break through the barricades. Sometimes a mutated zombie will appear, such as one that can infect a player. If so, the infection would have to be dealt with during the day phase.
You'd have to wait in whatever section of the city you chose to hide in, be it a house in the suburbs, or a warehouse in the city. You'd be constantly waiting for the off chance a survivor passes by, or a military "cleanup" passes through, noticing you and bringing you to the safe zone.
