Cant stand GAME there prices are crazy there preowned arnt even that cheaper too, well at my one anyway. Also i havent had many good experiences. The preowned disks being horrendously scratched etc. Heres an example i used in a much older thread back when i got duex Ex human revolution.

Duex Ex Human Revolution used - £35

Duex Ex human Revolution brand new Limited Edition on Amazon - £18.00 plus £1.99 Postage.

Be pretty obvious what i picked

What makes me feel bad about it is all them jobs being threatened all because higher ups insist on charging full price even if a game has been out a year. Also besides blockbuster (there preowned games seem to be in even worse condition at only five pounds cheaper then new as well) its really the only place to get games in my town. (All my town has is fast food joints)

I'll have to really change my stocks to be able to afford such a catastrophic beginning. I feel sorry for everyone, all of them, because I know that the medics won't reach GAME in time, and that unlike me, it'll go down like a lead brick, because that's free commerce. I remember GAME a little too well, I suspect, although what I did was all because of Father Hatch. One of these days, that big purple sign gonna tumble on down, down the line, and I won't be there, I'll be in Redding, for the hats. I don't know how people can't resist the temptation to pluck the fruits of our most fruitful of industries right out of the very air, since you can do that now, if you have a monolith purring beside you.
Meth is a terrible thing.

OT: Well, fuck GAME. Its about time they go down.
I very much enjoy that you say that Meth is a terrible thing while your avatar is from Breaking Bad. Without meth, you wouldn't have that show!
Damn right. b

...You know what? Fuck what I said, I take it back. Meth is the best thing ever. After Breaking Bad, of course.
Breaking Bad single handedly redeems meth for me!
I watched Breaking Bad whilst huffing meth. I transcended space and time and rode upon a celestial wave of infinitely coloured energy whilst at one with the living breathing universe and truly knowing the shape of god.

Though on balance, I prefer playing Minesweeper (Windows 95 edition).

First of all, I couldn't care less about the problems the gaming industry has
Neither do I really care to have an adult discussion with a person, on a gaming forum no less, who doesn't care about the people and industry behind the very thing that brought him/her here (games/gaming)! What a ridiculous and somewhat amusing stance.

Wait, why does everyone hate GAME? I haven't had any problems with them... ever. And I've been buying games from them for years.

At least they actually stock PC games, they're pretty much the only retailer doing that that I know of. Oh wait, I forgot to put my stupid hat on - everyone wants Valve to have a monopoly.
This. I'm guessing that the quality of the stores differs depending on your location -- which sounds a lot like the GameStops overseas -- but yeah, I've never had any problems either, at least where I live. The prices I've got for trade-ins in the past have been kinda crap, but my experiences in general have always been pretty pleasant.

Seriously, I'd be annoyed if GAME shut down. That only leaves supermarkets (which only seem to stock the chart titles), HMV (which is overpriced) and CEX for the used stuff, God bless 'em.
