A mod for Dawn of War that ads the Inquisition and Tyranids. That made me a very happy man.
I never got the Tyranid mod because I'd heard it was heavily infested with bugs and glitches, but I do have the one with the Inquisition, which is just plain awesome.
Still, my favorite Dawn of War mod is still Firestorm over Kronus (a Dark Crusade mod). It adds a ton of new units for each faction and turns the rules and gameplay mechanics into something much closer to the tabletop game. What I liked best about it was that now when you play Chaos you get to choose which God you serve at the start of any match and then build up your forces accordingly. Try it, it's great!

EDIT: I remember a Dragonball Z mod for Quake 3, named Bid for Power. Out of all the DBZ games I've played in my life this was the most fun, all those fighting games didn't even come close to it.
I've got it but it wont work. Its installed but there have been no changes. I was very pissed off. It looks so good.
I had that problem, too. What eventually worked for me was uninstalling FoK, uninstalling Soulstorm (and no, I haven't installed it ever since because it's crap) and patching Dark Crusade to version 1.2 (if you have FoK version 3.5 Beta). Once that's done follow the installation instructions for FoK and select the game from Dark Crusade's main menu (like with all other mods).

All i need is the patch then. Thanks for the help there.

For fallout 3 fans:

Amplified Cripple Effects [http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=85]
+
Triage Mod [http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5867]

Adds a lot to the combat gameplay when used together.
First mod greatly amplifies cripple effects (to you as well as enemies!) and the second mod makes it much harder to heal said injuries in the field.

It's a lot more exciting when a battle goes wrong and you're left half-blind, barely able to walk and trying to hobble out of a mutant-infested building so you can get to a doctor to heal :D

No more stimpack spam as a 'get out of jail free' card for when things go wrong ;)

Happy to help. If it still doesn't work, do a complete wipe (i.e. uninstall anything DoW-related), then re-install DC, patch it, then install FoK.

Yeah, I thought this might happen. Once you install Soulstorm it somehow interconnects with the other DoW games and then patching the previous expansion packs somehow becomes inefficient, even after you uninstall that piece of junk.
However, believe me when I say it's worth the hassle, FoK is tons of fun.

What i think is causing me the hassle is the other mods that i have, it wont patch with them. So i have to do a complete reinstall. Thats ok i have a LAN party tomorrow. Someone there will probably have a disk as its on the to play list.

Could be, but I don't believe that, seeing how they (the mods) were never the issue for me in this case. Still, good luck trying to get it to run.

Hilarity for Oblivion. Gotta love spells that let you drop horses on people. Or turn them into midgets...or giants...or berserker lunatics...or pickpockets...or copies of the Grey Fox...

Funniest mod was on Never Winter Nights. Can't remember its name, but it was a tough old quest, made oh so much fun with the Python-esque humour.
When you died you went to heaven, and the "Christmas in Heaven" song played in the background.

On the subject of mods, anyone know any good mods for Mount and Blade? I bought it today of the Steam store, (as its on sale, and the user reviews are highly different to the press reviews, and I wanted to see why), and I'm just curious as to what the best mods are, (so that when I beat the main game, I have something to do afterwards).

I remember completing Baldurs Gate 2, and then discovering there were whole online communities building amazing mods for it. New characters, new romances, new quests, new equipment, new story paths, new bad guys. Parts of it were put together by the original game designer. Amazing. I got about six months of extra play from those fine people.
