Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was actually a pretty cool movie- mostly because it wasn't about the game. I hated those misleading commercials and previews, though...

That movie was fantastic...problem was it had the wrong name. If it did not have Final Fantasy stapled on the title I am sure more people would actually like it for what it was. Then again i find it funny that people complain about the movie not really being a final fantasy. You can't really defined Final Fantasy as each and every one is disambiguated so it's a rather sad irony of the fans.

I rather liked the Final Fantasy movie. At the time, I didn't know it was even related to the game series, so that made it even better.

Bioshock the movies is set for 2010 according to IMDB - it's being made. There's also a Smurfs and DBS movie coming out soon.

The Tomb Raider films, or the first one at least, is entertaining. Although Daniel Craig doing an American accent? What the fuck?

uwe boll is a good director(yes i know everybody hates him but i like him and dont go on a boll rave)

uh, moving on, there really arent any game movies so far that i've enjoyed. I think the halo one has potential if it ever gets made. The storyline in the later games was kinda blah, but the first game and prequel books are pretty good. here's hoping they dont hire Uwe Boll to do them.

I quite liked FF: The Spirits Within, and the Resident Evil movies are brilliant (I have them all on DVD, I would like to play the games but I haven't got the right console and there are so many now I wouldn't be able to keep track). That said, I can only keep track of Halo because I was a fan right from the start... Anyway, I digress.
I've heard that The Sims is being made into a movie, this will be crap for two reasons:
(1) It's based on a game by EA
(2) How the hell can you make a sandbox game like The Sims into a movie (at least, a decent one with plot and characters and everything...)
Also what happened to the Halo Movie? I'd heard that Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings was at the helm, and it's just dead in the water now, wasn't it going to be based on the prequel novel to the series?

The Mortal Kombat movie was interesting.

Doom was pretty mediocre overall. First half just ripped off resident evil, and there were about 10 minutes at the end that were awesome.

Ok, the best VG made to a movie is Hitman. It is not the best movie in the world by any means, but if you take all the VG movies out there, I think it would be on top. It has fun action, has some hints of the source material, and you see the SUPER hot Bond chick naked, a lot.

I thought the first Mortal Kombat movie was decent...but I haven't seen it since I was like 8 so I might be wrong.
The first Pokemon movie...I liked it. It wasn't that bad. (Again, I was young). (I don't know about the rest of the movies so maybe some one else can comment on that)
The Animal Crossing Anime movie was pretty bad, but I think if I was a younger I would have liked it...
