Final Fantasy X, and the Metroid Prime series have great soundtracks, and make up a large portion of my soundtrack. Though the 2D Metroid games don't really cut it. Maybe Retro has a way with picking composers. And if I want to be cheap, most music games and GTA IV have good soundtracks. Some honorable mentions are both Still Alive's, from Portal and Mirror's Edge, Ring A Bell(Tales of Vesperia theme), and Heavenly Star(No More Heroes), which is frickin' addicting. Even more then Caramel Dancen.

Genso Suikoden II OST, Lagoon, Faxanadu, Mega Man 1-9 and X(1), Final Fantasy I, II, IV and VI original NES or SNES rips, Castlevania SOTN, Castlevania Dracula Best Vol 1 & 2, Akumajo Dracula X Chi No Rondo, CT: Radical Dreamers, Saga series OSTs, Ninja Gaiden I - III NES rips, Perfect Selection: Dracula Battle I & II and the Chrono Trigger sound track. What I do is get the music rips from game ROMs and then I convert them to mp3, which does take some time. But some of those are actually albums that I have bought or downloaded.

Gears 1's ending song that cole sings along with various portal tracks including still alive are on there too, throw in a few of my favourite Final fantasy tunes. Makes a pretty sweet playlist to me.

Oh i also have 'Victory Fanfare' as my text tone on my mobile, along with the looping radio song from portal as my ringtone.

Halo 3 and Mass Effect are two of my favorites.

Especially Halo 3 and I'll go as far to say that it's the best actual video game score of all time.

I have the Still Alive radio mix from Portal as my cellphone ringtone, if that counts. I'm also trying to get some tracks from Need for Speed: Underground for my iPod.

Anything by Nobuo Uematsu goes straight to my MP3 player no questions asked. He is a god among gaming music, and I can never get tired of his work. Mega man music is another given, especially some of the remixes I have found by some real talented musicians. Got some Halo music, you can;t argue Halo's sound track, it's pretty damn good...well I don;t like that electric guitar crap but hey the rest is fine. I got assortments of music from other various JRPG's but they are all over the place I couldn't point them out.

That pretty much makes up the bulk of my game music.

I have the Oblivion soundtrack and the Halo soundtrack on my ipod touch and my iriver pmp.

Like seriously, the soundtrack to Oblivion made that game, i dont think i would have liked oblivion as much without the great compositions. The music just is the essence of epicness, its great to listen to to be relaxed.

Off topic : Ipod sound quality has progressively gone down the road as of late... why?

The GTA IV song (Soviet Connection) and Halo theme MJOLNIR mix. In fact I'm gonna listen to Soviet Connection right now.
