Personally I have really enjoyed the story mode of Tomb Raider although I still have not set foot in any other section of the game, I am still to play Bioshock but after all the hype about it I feel like it is going to be a bit of a letdown. Also was not really a fan of what I played when i was at my friends house I guess I will try it again eventually and keep an open mind.

I'd say The Last of Us for GOTY although I oblivious to that term as being 'a thing' before this year. My personal favorite would be Fire Emblem Awakening, though, but I doubt it'd be considered up there with all those AAA titles. Also Shin Megami Tensei IV if I could stop dying in battle.

Clearly I HAVE to get a PS3 and play The Last of Us, because I'm saying Bioshock Infinite. If the Last of Us is better, I HAAAAVE to play it!

I'll echo the others here, we don't need a GOTHY. However, to participate in the thread with an open mind, I'd have to say that I don't have one yet. I haven't played BioShock Infinite, even though BS1 is one of my favorite games of all time. (Heck, I still haven't played 2, and I doubt I will.) I want to play Tomb Raider but my backlog and credit card statement are to be tended to first. Oh, I only play PC games, so TLOU is out or me. Well, maybe I can contribute my thoughts on the GOTHY at a later time.

I can't help but notice that many if not most of the people naming Bioshock (and even some others who named other games) said that they havent played The Last of Us. I think that says something. I also know a lot of people who said "I watched a walkthrough, it was alright I guess." And I find that a little frustrating because actually playing it and you feeling the tension and connections and also the decision making first hand adds so much to the experience.

1. The Last of Us
then considerably further down
2. Tomb Raider
3. Bioshock Infinite

The reason Bioshock isn't a close second is because honestly the gameplay was just slightly above average to me as far as shooters go. The story was excellent, and the ending stuck with me to this day (so did TLoU's) but I just didn't find the combat overly fun or stimulating. To be honest, I feel like I wouldn't have lost much by watching a walkthrough of it, at least not as much as I would have lost through The Last of Us. It was still a great game though, highly recommended. I'm a sucker for third person action games though and not too into FPS.

These opinions are so personal rated, and i hardly liked some GOTY. For example, Batman. Never liked that "superhero", comics/movies/cartoons/games. Also sucks that The Last of Us is only for consoles, which i also dislike :((

For me, so far this is how it goes

1. Remember Me (awesome story in slightly futuristic period which will soon to come, gameplay is nice with enabled custom combos. Besides protagonist personality is well adapted for game itself, shes not stupid and just runnin around punchin ppl, utilizing preset abilitys with sensen instead of just jumpin around and hittin them is proves much more fun in playin. Since no one was particulary interested in this game so far, and soon might hit downfall but will remain in first place for this year for me) Overall its fun to play and it will make u finish it.
2. Tomb Raider (simply bcuz i thought they will ruin this title but i was surprised how they kept lara croft sence in these modern game days, nice game design and gameplay, story is so/so) Also fun to play, snipin enemies with bow is exciting :D

I cant wait for Watch Dogs, since that trailer looks amazing so is gameplay demo. Might be hittin 2nd place from Tomb Raider. But ill wait to actually play it.
New BS Infinite gets me bored easily so i wont place it anywhere and i dont expect anything new from GTA V. Ill give it test try when it comes, probably wont play it for long time.

I'd go with Metro: Last Light, so far, as the best game. It had an eerie atmosphere and I hated having to go up to the surface. Remember Me had the best female character though and an interesting story, but gameplay kind of sucked. I really liked Tomb Raider too.
