Shogun, Skyrim, or L.A. Noire... hmmm.
I have a feeling that I will be ranted upon for this but Battlefield 3 is also a contender for me.
Fuck them, it is a fantastic multi-player game.
At first I thought it would be The Witcher 2, but then Frozen Synapse came along.
For most of the year I thought it would be Frozen Synapse, I played it more than any other game, until Battlefield 3 launched.
I've played no other game since then, except X-Com on my netbook and that is only because my netbook can't play BF3. I've been seriously considering buying an Alienware m11x r3 for $2000 just to get a netbook that
can play BF3. If I hadn't just spent $8000 on a car I would already have one.
The only other games that made a big impression on me this year were Portal 2 and Deus Ex: Human Resources both of which I thought were good but ultimately flawed experiences. Oh, and To the Moon, which made me cry.
