To be honest with you, I'm kind of bummed that ASOS was as good as it was. Because in comparison, the next few books really drag with the influx of new characters.

But lets worry about A Feast for Crows when season five comes along. Because hot damn, if they make this season work, this show will last.

Entering hibernation until March 31st >.>. I honestly can't wait because a Storm of Swords was my favourite book. Shit goes down in this book.

I don't really get the complaints over the ages of Meera and Jojen here. In this video they might look similar ages, but let me assure you that Brodie-Sangster (otherwise known as 'the kid from Love Actually') looks younger than he is most of the time.

AHHHHHHH. That's where I saw him. How come he only looks like he's only aged a couple years whereas it's been a decade since that movie came out?

Exactly, the kid ages slower than your average TimeLord!

I was gonna say 'has it really been a whole decade', but I googled and luckily it was a 2003 movie - so not quite!!

Shit, March 31?

Best. 21st. Birthday. Present. Ever.

Yeah, I'm pumped for the next season, so my birthday needs to come fast. Very fast.

Makes sense to split the larger ones up. Books that look really really long on the shelves might put some potential readers off.
Then they're really in the wrong series with GoT.
I'm not sure that's fair. There are plenty of people who can enjoy a story just the same as any other, but for their own reasons would find really long books a bit daunting. I, for example, am dyslexic. That doesn't mean I can't read the books or that I can't enjoy them, and it certainly doesn't mean that I *shouldn't*. It just takes me a lot longer to do so than it might another person (Besides, for a fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire isn't actually all that wordy). I'm really enjoying what I've read so far, but all the same, a book that looks like it will take several months for me to get through is not likely to fly off the shelves for me.

The Reeds?
Yes, I really liked them, and was sad because they weren't in Season 2.
At least I think they were in A Clash of Kings, correct me if I'm wrong.

To be fair, although the scene in season 1 when Ned sends Dondarrion to hunt down the Mountain is pretty important, the fact that it is Dondarrion he sends isn't - the character only becomes important by book three. However, I would've imagined a more gaunt figure to play the lightning lord.

So glad that Meera and Jojen are actually in and that we saw Beric Dondarrion in the video with the fire sword. Fucking epic.

Whilst Season 2 was a bit annoying with the changes they made, I feel more at peace with them now and i'm really looking forward to Season 3.

Does anyone know if Season 3 will be covering both books of A Storm of Swords, or just the first?

I wonder if I should save my reading of those until after this season is over (I picked up the books thanks to the show, and am currently almost half way through A Clash of Kings. I just wonder if I should continue going into the books with knowledge I've gleaned from the show already in my mind, as I think that's helped me understand a lot of things that might have passed over my head otherwise.

EDIT: In regards to ages isn't it already a thing with the show that everyone has to be portrayed as at least a couple of years older than they are in the books, considering that some of the things that happen to certain characters just wouldn't be ok to show on TV if they were that young?
I reckon it will do the first two thirds of the book, end with one of the weddings, and then do the start of Feast and Reek's story concurrently with the last third of Storm, and then run Feast/Dragons concurrently in the latter half of season 4 and 5.

I'm hoping that the Reeds don't just use normal weapons, I liked the fact that the crannogmen are quite different to the usual swords n' bows knights

They split all of the german books up. imagine my surprise when i noticed after the second book and found out the english books only cost me at least half that money.

15? per german book= 30? for each equivalent of 1 english book
10? for one english book or 15? for a better quality version

Personally, I think "spoiler" complaints don't count at this point (excluding DWD). The books have been out for YEARS.

Now, about the show...

The Red Wedding better be PERFECT, it's one of my favorite parts in the book.

The Hound's 1v1 fight better be awesome.

And they need to stop fucking around with Dany's chapters. No House of Warlocks for Clash of Kings? Her dragons go "missing"? Retarded. I've been reading ASoIaF for over a decade now, and I'm pretty emotionally invested in the series. I get that they can't fit everything in, but that doesn't mean they need to cut important info so they can squeeze another sex scene in. This isn't Spartacus, for fuck's sake. I like tits as much as the next guy, but I don't need them to stay interested in the series.
