Game of Thrones: What am I missing out on?

Unlike many fans, I'm not of the opinion that George R. R. Martin actually has any story, plan, or theme(s) in mind. I think he just created a bunch of characters and is using them to play chess with himself

Fun fact, a good number of the ASOIAF characters are based on/recycled from a previous, high-fantasy story he wrote and was never able to get published. I don't think that makes them bad characters or anything, just an interesting thing to keep in mind.

To be honest, you're not missing a whole lot. I read the books and I love them, but they are not as good as the world makes them out to be and the show is nothing to pay for HBO for.

I'm sure that sounds really clever & it's hard to disprove without evryone breaking out their portable media devices. Fact is, though, if you're watching GoT for tits & implied penetration you're an idiot & need to discover the internet. You can pull more porn through a fucking modem in 10 minutes then there's been in almost 4 seasons of Game of Thrones.

Fact is, though, if you're watching GoT for tits & implied penetration you're an idiot & need to discover the internet. You can pull more porn through a fucking modem in 10 minutes then there's been in almost 4 seasons of Game of Thrones.

Sorry, I don't follow; are fuckwits telling you that the show is art & you don't get it or that the tits are? If they're saying you don't have the intellect to appreciate the artistic significance of Danerys' rack then you're absolutely right. If they're saying that the show is art then they're right - still fuckwits though for trying to art-snob you into liking somthing that's just not your taste.

The general point I'm trying to make is that tits =/= porn. GoT is massively popular and it sucks as porn so people with any sense should put away the whole "I saw a nipple so it's nothing but spank-fuel" strawman.
Now, if you personally only use it to antagonize people when they're being assholes and that's what you're endorsing here then more power to you.
