Crysis - Aliens are damn annoying
Final Fantasy 12 - Started out with charm and just never kicked off.

KoTOR 2 - "OK everyone! Lucas says we're done! Let's amputate those plotlines, bandage them up, and shove them out the door."

That must have been a very dispiriting experience.
Yea... i loved KoTOR... and when KoTOR 2 rolled around, i was excited, but i ended up really dissapointed...

That said i could totally play KoTOR again, now i think about it.

Final Fantasy 8, you start out with a mercenary school and you're supposed to liberate Timber and then you go off killing sorceresses since disc 2, oh, and also all the characters knew each other about 10 years ago, just a bad story in general, also, FF9 and FF12 weren't much better either

At least FFIX had a direction, though I still doesn't get WTF Square was smoking when it decided to make a last-minute switch of final bosses. If you can recall, the whole thing was pretty much set up in such a way that you're basically told that Kuja is the one pulling the strings. Then came the switch, and my jaw dropped, but not in awe. More like an 'awwwww' for something so abrupt and out of left field.

Any racing game.
"This guy beat you. Probably stole your car." - Friend
"'k." - You
After racing against everyone, you beat the bad guy. No plot twists. Nothing.
"Damn you beat me." - Bad Guy, usually named something rebellious (Razor, for example.)
"Sweet I win." - You

The End.

For everyone who's as annoyed about KotOR 2 as I am, might I recommend http://fromearth.net/LetsPlay/KOTOR%202/index.html. It basically takes you step by step through the game, including all the story and a bunch of cut content. After reading it I felt I got a more complete idea of what KotOR 2 was meant to be.

Xenogears. Thats the original, not that crazy Xenosaga crap that completly lept over the point and charm of Xenogears.

Condemned 2.

Metal Gear Solid 2's plot became so utterly convoluted I set off the fire alarm with all the smoke coming from my brain overheating.

Resident Evil 4s plot started out pretty good but then they gave you totally overpowered weapons and an ancient cult joined in, after that I stopped caring.
Resident Evil 4's plot was never good in any place. At all. Seriously, the president's daughter was kidnapped by a village of spanish peasants (How the fuck did they pull that off? Sneak up behind her when the Secret Service had their backs turned and said 'Gotcha!'?) so he sent a lone, incompetent soldier to rescue her. Let's face it, we didn't play this game for the plot.

A few notable mentions. **SPOILER ALERT, BUT I DOUBT THEY'RE GAMES ANYONE CARES ABOUT**

Doom 3: I enjoyed the originals, and my fanboy mate kept saying how it was amazing, so i eventually got it. Whilst it was pretty damn spooky at parts, and fun at the beginning, it became downright boring, nay predictable as the game progressed. "I wonder what will happen next?" "Oh i know...i'll walk into a room that looks just like the last one and an imp will spawn behind me"...

Matrix: Path of Neo(don't judge me...i was young...and foolish! :p): Seriously though, the movies were pretty sweet, the game let you play through some classic scenes, but there were a few "what the hell?" moments. Namely...why does the merovingian have little ant monsters and maze at the back of his house? Why am i fighting a guy who spawns flowers wherever he runs? and WHY THE HELL AM I FIGHTING A GIANT AGENT SMITH?

Pariah: I'd heard good things, but...*twitch*...the ending...*twitch*

Bloodrayne (i know...i know...it was $10): Started out sweet...but became annoyingly repetitive...

I have to agree with Indigo Prophecy obviously - Though I still enjoyed the game a lot.

But I installed it again recently and got bored just a few levels in.

Not aged gracefully? Or maybe I just remember how the story unfolds too well (i've already played it through 3 times) to care anymore...
