My girlfriend and I both play Sims 2 a lot, and if we mention something about being hungry or tired, half the time it is a play on our motives being low. Oh, and one time I got shot in the nuts whilst paintballing and one of my buddies asked me if I was ok as I lay on the ground, and I straight-facedly responded, "Red Warrior is about to die."

I've also had a few weird Mass Effect-related dreams lately; I've been putting in an inordinate number of hours tying to get my file just right for Mass Effect 2.

If I've been playing too much Fallout 3, I start pretending I'm hacking a terminal when I use the computers at school, since they have those big clunky keyboards that make the perfect "tak tak tak" sound when you type.

Also, I imagine every conversation with a person as an encounter with an NPC where I might need to pass a speech check... I keep imagining what they're going to say and how I'd respond. Also, my dreams are plauged with nuclear holocausts, but that might mostly be from lack of medication.

i go for walks in the city , sometimes ending up in spots where i would put a hidden package or weapon and go into construction sites and pick sniper spots

I am in the same vein as several other people here.

Wherever I go I must imagine it's appearance either in post-apocalyptia or as though it were in a war zone. Although it is most often the apocalyptic scenario I play out. Who would survive to become one of the various wandering vendors? What areas would be safe havens from the radiation and raiders? Where could I find bottle caps and junk food? Can I really train myself to kill super-mutants with a baseball bat?

I've got almost everything down, and saving cash for an underground stockpile and firearms training. I'll also need survival training... other than that, i've got most of the stuff covered.

You'd actually be surprised by the number of promising vendors in my town.

I don't know if it's wrong to wish for a nuclear apocalypse, but i'd like one just to see if my predictions are correct.

[i\]Many years after the initial bombardment...

"Hey! Is that you Frank? You're a sales-person? Here? In the irradiated nuclear wastes? You sell rad-away? What a lucrative business! I knew you'd get here someday!" [/i]

That'd be SO awesome.

Anyways: I actually get a reversal of what you're talking about... I'm a nice guy, so in a game I can't help but play the KiSA... (Knight in Shining Armor)

See DA:O as an example. No matter how hard I try to be bad I always go back to being a philanthropist when I talk with the poor, or refusing reward after I slay some snarly beast.
Nah, I'm not a nasty person, I like to help people.
I am normally altruistic.
It's just, something makes me think... if there was a target, how long would I have them in view, how easy would they be to hit, etc, from the different sniping positions one can see from that area.
And I agree on not sharing those thoughts with non-gamers, they might get a little scared.

Holy crap, I do that, too. Especially when I walk through my neighborhood nowadays since all the trees are dead. I almost start whistling songs by The Ink Spots as I walk to get my mail...

Whenever I'm in a heated argument I think "What Fatality would be most effective here?"

I always look around for weapons or defensive positions, and I partially attribute that to video games.

This one isn't too cool or anything, but my brother and I are die hard Dawn of War fans so any chance we get, our minds will jump to some kind of DoW reference... or we'll start chanting "Orks" over and over.

Any time I go to a old factory or see a big complex off in the distance, I think "Wow, that would make a good deathmatch location."

When I get something I wanted for a while, I have the urge to lift it over my head and hum the Zelda 'I got that thing!' sound

I have to say cheesy one liners. I have no say in this.

When I enter a new place for a long period of time (Resort, Con, Mall, Epcot Center, etc.) I try to scope out who would fight with me if the stuff hit the fan... and who'd probably die in the first wave.

... of course, I avoid mirrors during that to ignore the truth that it would probably be me.
