Game related tattoos

So I was on the train today, and I saw a girl with a tattoo from Final Fantasy 7.

Quickly, think of the most iconic thing from that title that you'd get a tattoo of!

The meteor logo, the buster sword?

Her tattoo was of a materia chain.

As in, from the 'equipment' screen.

..

on her forearm

It's not just me who finds this ridiculous, right?

Also! Would you get a game-related tattoo? If So, what/where?

I already have the Brotherhood of Steel logo on my lower stomach, and Crashman from Megaman II on the rear of my shoulder.

Then again, as you might see from my photo, I have a lot of tattoos..

The fact that it's an equipment screen icon from an iconic game is a pretty good start.

I would get a game-related tattoo (in fact it's probably the only type of tattoos I'd get) but I'm not sure what of. I'd like to get a Triforce at some point. Probably on the arm. Other than that I'm not sure.

I do have a friend who's getting a Crash Bandicoot tattoo fairly soon.

So? A rose is just a flower. A face of my child is just a set of generic human attributes, configured into the set that makes up my child.
Tattoos are just inks shaped into symbols.
See my point yet?
A tattoos is the meaning you give to it. No meaning can be ridiculous. If she finds this tattoo meaningful for her, then it's meaningful for her. Whatever set-up any tattoo has is equally meaningful or equally ridiculous, depending on who one asks.


And oh, I'm getting a Phyrexia symbol at some point (Magic the Gathering) and a Black Spiral Dancer (Werewolf: The Apocalypse)

Eh not that ridiculous. While I've seen some tats that make me question that person's judgement if they want to ink up their body with whatever they want they by all means go for it. I have Majora's Mask on inner forearm, triforce on my wrist, Horde symbol on my right shoulder blade. And those are just my gaming related ones... I'll probably be getting more in the future. If I can land a career that doesn't give a fuck about tats (doubtful), I'm going full Majora's Mask sleeve.

My dad got a Kirby tattoo on his leg because I love Kirby (He also got a Gir one because my sister loves Invader Zim) Best dad ever!

I would also totally get a heartless symbol on my back!

Go to gaming conventions with that tattoo, get the crap kicked out of you by the dude who went as Sora XD

I've yet to decide where I'm going to get a inFAMOUS tat, but I think that's the next one I'm gonna have
(I also have two other AC themed tattoos and the Marek family crest on the back of my neck)

As for it being weird... it's only weird to other people, I don't care what they think!

Flipped through one of them recently; the newer ones got DARK. Like, really dark

That one actually seems pretty cool.
Not much of a tattoo guy myself so not sure what I'd go for. Probably something like that, something subtle, not a picture of a character or a big word on my back or anything, just a little reference picture.

If I did. I would get the Halo legendary symbol. I don't think I will ever get a tattoo though, too much social stigma and I don't want to get it somewhere I have to hide it because i like wearing tshirts and shorts. Anywhere else where i can hide it and only the few theoretical women who get to see me naked will be able to see it.
