Game(s) you really wanted, but never actually ended up getting

Nah. If I want a game I buy it (it makes my wallet cry every time though...)

If I'm on the fence of buying a game I'll look for a demo to help me decide, or watch a "Let's Play" with that game. Hell, I find myself watching "Let's Play"s of games I want but I know I won't ever play through more than once, just to save money.

Twilight Princess. I had a Gamecube at the time it came out and I wanted to, you know, get it for the console I actually own, but everywhere I looked they only had the Wii version. I eventually just spent the money on something else.

I FINNALLY bought Assassins Creed Brotherhood but only because it was on sale for $25 at Target.

But, a better example would be Batman: Arkahm Asylum. I rented it and beat it around it's release but never bought it. This is strange considering how much of a Batman fan I am. I am also looking foreword to Arkham City, despite still not owning it's prequel.

Duke nukem forever.
I had it on my "Games to buy list" since the beginning, but after hearing all the lame reviews , as of today I still have not bought it.

I dont know why,,, maybe when I see it on the budget rack ill get it for $15
