How would you like a game developed in part by the people who did Tenchu, but with better-implemented stealth, custom item creation through an alchemy system, a mission structure which makes you feel like you're a free agent who can work for whoever they want and the ability to alter the storyline not just through mission selection but also how you complete the missions?sheah1 said:If we're talking about ninja's and mechs then I still want Tenchu and Armored Core sequels. I'd love it if there was an Armored Core (I adored For Answer) that worked as a free-roamer, you could exit your mech and take missions and visit the shops of different companies, plus it would be good for the stories they're always trying to emphasise. I know Tenchu Z was an utter failure but I think if they made the entire series more open ended, gave it a massive variety in areas, let you approach the game how you wanted, fixed the combat and gave it a massive update in graphics, AI, movement, and pretty much everything broken (ok, everything) then it could become a really brilliant ninja revolution. Seriously though, the world desperately needs a smooth mech game where you can build your mech from the ground up, but with added RPG elements. Yes, I am one of those people who thinks that RPG elements are the answer to all of life's problems, what of it? Oh and HD (and I don't just mean graphics, I mean massively updated gameplay and mechanics) remakes of Resis 1 and 2.
Because that's Shinobido.
It had three main factions you could work for, and four distinct endings. If you failed a mission, you didn't lose the game, you just lost your employer's trust and decreased your reputation. You could choose who to work for, what types of missions you wanted to do (assassination, wiping out guards in an area, delivery or theft of a package, kidnapping...), how you wanted to tackle the missions (straight stealth, using items to distract or defeat enemies, straight combat, using items in combat to gain an advantage...), when to do story missions (early on the main storyline relies on you collecting a series of items that show up, and you get a few chances to take the tip on where one is before it disappears and you have to wait for more news about it). Oh yeah, they also didn't pile demons and magic all over the game, which makes the entire thing just a hack 'n' slash action game that says it's ninja when it really isn't. If a guard runs, and you let him get to a guard tower, he can set off an alarm which guarantees his boss will know you attacked them, meaning that employer's trust of you will decrease.
And they're making AC5. Look it up. Apparently they're going for a "more realistic" feel. Which somehow translates to giant multi-bladed chainsaws mounted ON YOUR BACK.
I think another game, regardless of connection or not with Armored Core, with a similar AI customisation system to the one in Formula Front, would be great too.
