I've recently beaten The Ghostbusters Game again recently, and decided that while I enjoy the game as a whole, there were only one or two sections where I felt like I was playing what I thought the game should have been.

My question to you is this: What game or game chapter was the most satisfying experience for you?

The Glider mission in Assassins Creed two, not just the gliding part but the whole assassination was fantastic.

The final battle against the Striders and what-not in Half Life 2: Episode 2. God, that was so incredibly satisfying to beat it. I was literally down to downing Striders with a damned pistol at the end so being able to somehow overcome my complete lack of ammo and horrid luck as all the buildings blew up around me... Epic.

And yes, I emptied the remainder of my ammunition into the sky in the end. Jubilation all around.

The Temple of Pandora in the Original God of War. It just looked and felt great. The game as a whole was also satisfying not to mention the moment I final skewered Ares the smug prick.

I'm not much of a fan of shooters, but the two Sniper levels in Call of Duty 4 were very awesome for me. The gunship was cool too, but cool in the sense of also being a bit freaky with the knowledge that such weapons actually do exist.

That's not "Most satisfying" though, because I can't give a definitive answer for that.

The last section of "The Answer" in Persona 3 FES. I was actually feeling rather disappointed with the amount of dungeon crawling in comparison to the amount of story I was getting, interesting, but rather shallow in amount.
Once the dungeon section was over though the story just seemed to bloom wonderfully for the last couple hours and give me a absolutely satisfying conclusion to that wonderful game.

Two words: Water Temple.

hahaha this is so true. Mine would have to be the first time entering Zora's Domain. My other vote goes to bashing Andrew Ryan in the face with a golf club :) That is just awesome.

The assassinations in the first Assassin's Creed. The rest of the game was decent, but the assassinations were outstanding.

Probably "Cortana" mission in Halo 3 on Legendary. By god was that one almost impossible to beat. I ran out of ammo, and was stuck in this little corner in the ship. And those annoying shooter flood that can hit you from miles away.

I've never been so angry at imaginary parasites in my life.

When you get the Dark Energy Gravity Gun at the end of Half-Life 2. Man, you feel completely badass when that happens. Killing Combines who normally would've killed you before breakfast is so extremely satisfing. Everything of that part is... tossing the Dark Energy Orbs, standoff against Breen, and a lot of stuff I won't reveal for spoiler's sake.

The time you spend on Taris in Kotor is pretty fun, from the affluent people on the surface to the exiles in the Undercity, I thought it was an interesting place to be.

Also the Insurance Fraud Activity in Saint's Row 1 & 2 is the best activity in those games.

The Pegasus Bridge (dawn) mission in Call of Duty 1 was awesomely epic, you're killing bad guys with two-hit-kill assault rifles left, right, and center, rushing to grab another Panzerfaust for the 8th Tiger tank that just arrived, trying to not get shot while being surrounded by advancing enemies.

Also almost all the Mike Toreno missions in GTA: San Andreas - I mean, invading an aircraft carrier, stealing a fighter jet, and using it to blow up spy ships?

The casino heist mission was nice too, as was "The Job" bank heist in Vice City.

Actually in Contra 4 I was in the final boss on hard and died so many times that I was completely absorbed. And when I finally beat him after he shot the ground around me and I was running and jumping madly from side to side withe perfect timing and finally hit him with that dire spreader shot and he exploded. Oh so satisfying.
