"Series of the Decade", but pulls in series with two games, one from before the decade in question, and one that actually qualifies. That seem weird to anyone else?
So, some of the matchups are at least interesting. Fallout vs TES? Wouldn't mind seeing that one go on a larger poll. But, like all of these things, you can see where that site's community lies. Max Payne over Call of Duty was in interesting affair. Street Fighter vs Souls? That's a close line, and I doubt you'd get the same closeness here.
None of this answers why they're doing a decade faceoff when there's no decade in sight labelled. '03-august '13? What the hell kind of decade is that? Well, pageviews, obviously, but it's still a freaking weird thing to do. Kind of dumb, if you ask me. Like, if we're doing that stretch of time, then TES is only being graded on Oblivion and Skyrim, while Half-life is being graded only for Half-life 2 and its two tiny children. I doubt that's been taken into account much, given the way people use these things, but that's not my problem. Bizarre flag-waving is still flag-waving, no matter how much you dress it up.
