Any of the music genre. They all kinda bore me. Anything sports related, IE: NFL XXXX. Pokemon. Seriously THERE'S NO VARIATION IN THESE GAMES! Not to mention the pokemon are getting lamer with every installment. That's really all I can think of.

Bioshock and the second one isn't even out yet. Don't try to make another game about the same stuff. Phenomenal the first time so don't go messing with it. They'll only screw it up

Im cool with one or maybe two sequels, but when games start getting miked, it really ticks me off. My opinion is that guitar hero had a nice run but now its getting crazy.

The most important off all, probably been mentioned, probably will be mentions Final Fantasy, I thought "final" ment maybe 2 more games at most, what are the on 16? Thats a series that should have been condensed down, or ended! I'm fine if they make one or two spin-offs from it, but you should have stopped at like 8...

ITT: People bash games by paraphrasing Yahtzee, and picking on game series they haven't played.

I'm serious. 70 %(yes, that's a number I just randomly picked. Almost) of the posts in this thread are downright embarassing. Someone saying he liked MGS1, 2, and 3, but thought Twin Snakes was "too weird"? Someone saying that Final Fantasy is just the same, and the same, and the same, and the same, conveniently "forgetting" that the game features a brand new story, brand new characters, brand new setting, usually brand new style(FF6 to FF7, to FF8, to FF9) even, and brand new gameplay mechanics, making them only sequels by name and overall concept?

I will agree with those that have said Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid. The storylines have progressed to a point where it would be hard to continue them without making them feel like "The brand new adventures of...". A retelling of the series' wouldn't be bad though. I enjoy the installments for RE that are outside the main series, and am hoping to buy the remake of the first for wii.


EDIT: Also, can anyone give a proper argument as to why Call of Duty should end? I'm not gonnas ay you're wrong, hey, we all have our own oppinions, but I'm a bit mystified so many people wants the series to stop.

The vast number of Guitar Heroes doesn't annoy me. It's all the "games" they brought out, that were basically just extra songs (For example Guitar Hero Metallica)

I think Medal of Honour could give it a rest now.

That series is the same thing, regurgitated every time...

For the most part each game has different worlds, characters and stories. Not only that but they experiment with different gameplay mechanics each time.

So while constants do exist over the series as a whole it is no where near as bad as your post would indicate.

Guitar Hero and Resident Evil. Those two series I just head-desk everytime I hear about another one.

Well if you don't include the Wii rails shooter spin off games, Resident Evil 4 came out in 2005 and Resident Evil 5 came out in 2009.

I say Guitar Hero. As much as I love the games, there are too many of them and it's just milking it now. Because they know stupid fucks like me will keep buying them...

I think that Call of Duty should end because we don't need any more. The series (in my opinion) died after 3 and was just rushing for commercial success by appealing the the masses and just decided to stop being creative. Call of Duty: United Offensive was one of the best online multiplayer games of all time, rivaling Counter Strike and Team Fortress, and you know what? That game had absolutely no gimmicks whatsoever.

That, and the fact that Call of Duty just keeps pumping out games every year with silly gimmicks like Nazi zombies to get people to buy them.

Call of Duty and Medal of Honor stand a chance of being refreshed IF they leave the WW2 setting behind. There have been other wars fought before and after WW2 ,such as the American Revolutionary War, the American Civil War or even Vietnam. The WW2 dead horse has been thoroughly beaten.
Madden, and pretty much all sports themed games, really should end.

-Guitar Hero should end now.
-Rock Band should make one last game with the same interface as GH5 (i.e., if everyone wants to drum, everyone gets to drum) and then end
-Mario needs to end, although I welcome any more Paper Mario games.
-Also, the Mario & Luigi saga never should have left the GBA, so it should end ASAP.
-Final Fantasy (even though I love all of them- except 12)
-Metal Gear Solid
-The Pokemon series. Seriously, Diamond and Pearl were good, but I think they're running out of pokemon names. Pretty soon there'll be one called "Knobblypants"
-I also think that Call of Duty should not end, but shift its focus to other theatres of the war. That's why I thought CoD 5 was so refreshing: the US storyline covered the Pacific Theatre. So I think they should begin to move to Africa, or to the Mediterranian. Also, I think that the Modern Warfare series deserves a couple more titles.

On an unrelated note, I think that Wanted: Weapons of Fate deserves a sequel.

Sonic is done. He hasn't had a decent game since the Dreamcast, and even that's debatable. Someone obviously needs to fire the current Sonic team or just stop making games that suck. Can't we just go back to a 2-D sidescroller? Why the dumbass gimmics?
