So yeah, soundtracks in games can do lot to set the tone, make us edgy, relax us and some are just "bangin' tunes".

So, excluding the previous demonstration, I know of a few songs from Timesplitters: Future Perfect that are cool and there's one from Doom or something I heard at a friends (can't remember the name though...) but what else is there?

Final Fantasy games have epic music.
Also WWE games and Burnout games have great music too

I thought Need For Speed : Underground 2, Gran Turismo 4, and burnout 3/Paradise were pretty good.

But Fallout 3 is the best IMO.

Shadow of the Colossus (it made half the game)
Final Fantasy (say what you like, but they all had decent music)
Armored Core
GTA in general, but Vice City especially
Homeworld (finally some decent space music, not that new age crap)
Command & Conquer often has fun stuff
Okami (very fitting, traditional music)
Fallout 3 (if you're into that kind of thing, personally, I get bored with it)

MGS3 has a very moving soundtrack. Metroid Prime's is the perfect soundtrack for the perfect game. Castlevania:Symphony of the NIght has a very listenable soundtrack, too.

btw he is also in a band called the Blsck Mages, they have som fucking good, metal versions of Final Fantasy music.
