What game soundtracks do you own and which one(s) is/are your favorite?

I own all of the Halo soundtracks, including Halo Wars, as well as the scores to Gears of War 2, Total Annihilation, and Mass Effect. My favorite has to be Halo 3. The Seattle Symphony Orchestra did a fantastic job, and Martin O'Donnell is an amazing songwriter indeed

Favorite would have to be the Donkey Kong Country Series, I count them altogether because it's all about David Wise >.>

I've got a ton on my Mp3 player though, strangely though it's mostly filled with Nes, Snes era games.

The Sins of a Solar Empire ones...since you can find them quite easily in your game directory...and they are all awesome.

Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.

Time of World Revolution and Schala's Theme from CT and Meridian Dance, Crystal Forest Theme and Pure Land Theme from SoM. Freaking epic.

Though, not as epic as the remixes from Megaman. Yes, I downloaded the OC remix of The Passing Of The Blue Crown.

EDIT: I also have Killer Instinct's Killer Cuts on my mp3 player. My uncle has the original CD.

Red Alert, dude... (again, fairly easy to extract from the game, if in rather low quality)

And quite a few full-rips from old SNES (e.g. FF6) and Atari ST (e.g. Supercars) titles...

Someone did give me copies of the Halo ones, but I haven't actually played them, much though I'm often recommended to :p

edit: oh yeah ... forgot Chrono Symphonic of course. And all those FF Piano Collections & their ilk :)

I really like several soundtracks, including some of the ones you mentioned, but I absolutely adore Alan Wake's. I'm not entirely sure why, but the orchestral tracks seem spot on for the atmosphere of the game, while the actual songs used are just excellent choices.

Plus, it's always nice to see a new Poets of the Fall song in a Remedy game.

Red Dead Redemption was the only game soundtrack I ever purchased independently of the game. It's just so damn good.

Most of my soundtracks are Squaresoft RPG soundtracks. FFIX, FFX, Chrono Trigger, Dawn of Mana, etc.

Nobou owns my soul, apparently...

One of the things that struck me hard about Breath of Fire two was the great soundtrack. It's just perfect and fitting from the title screen.

I love the old chiptunes from the 8-bit era. They were more creative and had more memorable melodies than even the best current soundtracks. Ninja Gaiden 1-2, Megaman 2-3, Double Dragon, Blaster Master, Contra...

Oh man, another one of these threads. :D
The following soundtracks are all on my iPod, the ones with an * are the best of the best.

Bioshock
Castlevania: SoTN
Cave Story
Chrono Cross
Chrono Trigger*
Earthbound
Mother 3
Earthworm Jim
Final Fantasy 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12*, Tactics*
Gitaroo Man
Halo 1
Ico
Jet Set Radio & JSR Future
Katamari Damacy
Mass Effect 1 & 2
Nier*
Parasite Eve
Legend of Mana
Secret of Mana 2 & 3
Shadow Hearts 1-3* (2 in particular)
Shadow of the Colossus
Silent Hill 1-4
Suikoden 3, 5
Super Metroid

I can't highly recommend the Shadow Hearts 2 and Nier soundtracks enough. Especially Nier, the game may of had it's faults, but the music was exceptionally good.

Final Fantasy 7, Dirge of Cerberus, and Devil May Cry 4. They all had pretty good soundtracks.
