OT: This is pretty much the definition of Hype.


Funny how it shows Strange fighting Morrigan, it is actually a match up me and an Escapist friend end up doing when i'm jumping between third characters and he's just sitting on X-23, Strange and... Something else. It was Nova until I told him to drop him or i'd have to stop playing with him entirely

And some of fights in that are totally imbalanced. I mean Sentinel vs Tron? PFFFFT! Like Tron would even be challenged by Sentinel. He's an assist character and an assist character only. Tron can 1v3 all day. And why is Nova opening with forward heavy? You're supposed to mash crouching medium until you inevitably catch them with the huuuuuuge range low hit.

I liked Odin Spheres trailer, not a great deal of action but the music is awesome (so is the game), sorry, i don't have the trailer, i can't get embedding to work right.

I'm also liking Remember Me from the trailers, original concept, when it becomes available to preorder, i think i will. Again, sorry for no trailer post for the same reason as above.

My measurement of a good trailer is that it shows actual gameplay or other parts of the game. Anything else is little more than movie showing how awesome a game could be, not how it is. That being said, I love the Mass Effect 2 trailer...

That trailer is why I wonder if MGS 5 is Ground Zeros. I don't see why they would have Two MAJOR (assuming Ground Zeros will be a MAJOR part of the series overall story) featuring Big Boss back to back.

I think GZ is just a prequel to MGSV.

Don't know if it counts more as a "Character Trailer" than a game trailer, but the ones for Team Fortress 2 I always thought were pretty good, taking a different direction to showing the game.

Unfortunately most of my favourite trailers tend to have a far better atmosphere than they games they are for.

I mean seriously, they could have easily taken the games in the direction the trailers (and the extended universe) head, but they went for the "dudebro" approach.

Ah yes. the Gears trailers and Halo Live-action trailers were absolutely superb. I agree with you on the Gears trailers completely: if they took the games into that somber mood, they would have something beautiful: something of a statement that no matter how big, tough, and manly you are you're not going to survive on your own in a world that wants you extinct. Instead it's more like "SHIIIT! WE GOTTA GET TO THE BASE! HUUURGAH! WE NEED TO KILL THIS STUFF! BECAUSE KILLING! SHIT!"

I like this place.

And I found everything in that trailer, in the game. It be the Daedalus references, the topic of transhumanism, the future, augmentations, the Cyberpunk style, everything really.

I love the game, but i only saw that trailer once I'd finished the game and went exploring in the extra's of the special edition. It's so terribly fitting, and a great trailer because now I want to play it again.
