1. Chrono Trigger vs Chrono Cross
Didn't play Cross
2. Planescape Torment vs Baldur's Gate 2
Didn't play Torment, and didn't really play that much of BG2
3. Mass Effect 2 vs KotoR 1
oooooooooo tough one
Mass Effect 2, though a tremendously tight game with great reply value for its strategic merits, simply doesn't have the magic that KOTOR1 had. In fact, it doesn't have the magic of ME1, despite ME1 being a more flawed game.
4. Final Fantasy 7 vs any other Final Fantasy (you choose one)
A lot of people would argue FF6 is better, but seriously, 7, despite being a damn cakewalk, really did everything right regarding tone, music, and story, and kept enough of that old-skool JRPG goodness of yesteryear. I tried 8, 9, and 10, and Square just progressively lost touch with the foundation of the JRPG. I did get completely through 8 and mostly through 9 though. The thrill is gone. I've never tried anything by Mistwalker like Blue Dragon, perhaps FF's creator got better when he left Square.
5. Half-Life 1 vs Deus Ex 1
Oh poo, never played the first half life. I can't imagine it's better than Deus Ex though, as I feel that HL2 is on equal footing with DE1, and from what I understand, HL2 is marginally better than the first.
7. Fallout 1 vs Fallout 3
I can only assume Fallout 1 is better considering Fallout 3 is just, "pretty good," but I don't really know.
8. Gothic 2 vs Morrowind
As much as I love Morrowind, I am currently playing Gothic 2 for the first time and I believe it may be the best RPG of all time. Hell, I'm on vacation right now and when I'm done screwing around with this post I'm going to go kill the fourth Dragon. If you have not played Gothic 2, and you consider yourself an RPG fan, you should be buying it right now. I got mines for like 5 bucks. You better get yours, cause I GOT MINEZ!
9. Dragon Age Origins vs Oblivion (with mods and all)
Really, we're going to put Oblivion on here? I'd rather play E.T. than subject myself to Oblivion. DA:O wins by default because Oblivion can suck a watermelon through a straw.
To be fair to Bioware, I did really enjoy DA:O and when I get through Gothic 2 I'll be moving on to Awakenings, ME1 (again), DA2, ME2 (again). It would've been more fair to compare Morrowind to DA:O, at least then I would've had to think for a bit.
10. Metal Gear Solid 3 vs Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Stealth games can kiss my taint.
11. God of War vs Prince of Persia (the PS2 games)
Never played God of War, and only played Prince of Persia once. I've actually been trying to find the original Sands of Time recently because I'm on a retro kick (see Gothic 2). God of War won't be on that list because I don't have a PS2.
12. Bioshock vs System Shock 2
I never played System Shock 2
13. FIFA vs Pro Evolution Soccer
And soccer is for queers
14. DotA vs Heroes of Newerth vs League of Legends
Haven't played RTS since Warcraft 2
15. Counter-Strike vs Team Fortress 2
Online gaming is for GIANT queers
16. Call of Duty MW 1 vs Call of Duty BO
There's no difference between any of these COD games to me, and I won't shell out money for a 4 hour single player campaign anyway.
