Considering the "waa bugs" attitude from so many people who bought it on launch day I'm tempted to say Empire: Total War. But then I look at my game collection, see I own iterations of Madden for three different consoles (SNES/PS1/PS2) and realize just how many people online direct their invective at Madden because "jock football waa". Then again, those are the same people I used to beat up and stuff in lockers in high school when I was a jock myself.
Mine would be the "Dynasty Warriors" series, because in essance they're terrible games and I understand that, but I love 'em!
Also "Earth Defence Force" for the 360, haven't really heard many opinions on it, but it's a fun quirky game that should've got more attention.

sonic adventure 2 and sonic unleashed, everyone outside the sonic fanbase seems to hate those games
Mine would have to be Ar Tonellico, it's an ODD game an is more than a little "wtf?", but I had fun with it. XD

Seems like you can't swing a dead cat on without hitting somebody who bitches about it being bad or "over rated". Well I love it, so SCREW YOU!!
Also, the Lego (insert various licensed property) games. It amazes me how they can take something so painfully simple and make it fun and addicting.

-Gears of war: ok well everyone doesn't hate it but I do see more haters than fans of the game. They are fun, solid gameplay, and have great multiplayer, just really fun the play with people.
-Crysis: So many times have I heard this game be cast aside as nothing more than a "tech demo". Well fuck you, it was a kick ass FPS with some creative design to it, who cares if the suit powers have been done before, crysis did it more accessibly. Gameplay was solid and the game is as fun as your creativity with the suit.
-Halo: Again fun multiplayer and decent enough single player but people gotta keep bitching about it, just ignore the fanboys and you have no need to complain about the game.

far cry 2, for some reason i here so many people complain that it wasn't fun, but that's probably because when i played it i kept switching my weapons around and kept using different tactics.

Turok, yes, the newest one. The targeting required that you move its sensitivity down to the lowest possible setting to make the game functional, but the idea of playing an FPS where you kill dinosaurs with a knife is just too fun. Also, the multiplayer co-op levels were pretty fun to play through too. I can't help it, I enjoyed it for every flaw and "already been done" moment it had.
uhm....I really liked too human and FF8 was like my favorite FF game of all time.....but I do like "good" games too
