pretty much any pay to play game like WoW because i could be playing several different games by the time i would have this game for several months.

same reason i don't have an XBL gold account. just play everything on the PC! better controls, better performance... who would of though RTS games worked better on the PC!?

I have no interest in Halo Wars.
I can barely play a game with controls suited for consoles on a console - trying to play an RTS on one would be like trying to play piano with mittens.

Or like trying to complete that fucking flight school with a keyboard and mouse.
It's not hating, I just don't care to play it - which is what the thread is about.

I'm not knocking that, I just cringe whenever people express their opinions in these overly dramatic speeches about what is and isn't acceptable in the world of gaming. And FYI, I don't care about Halo Wars either, for pretty much all the reasons already listed in this thread. Like I said, it's the way people word things that drives me up the wall, along the ceiling, down the opposite wall, and across the room, back to my starting position.

halo is understandable, but gears of war? that is the single greatest shooter since UT04 came out (possible halflife 2, dunno which came out later in november of 04)

i have not seen a futuristic RTS where they use dropships other then halo wars not allow you to use them (and dont say DoW, because i havent seen a dropship in that yet, just orbit to ground landing craft). the games campain sucks. the game has the god damned pace of a starcraft game of mine when i have finally built my base deffences and a counter for reavers/guardians/siege tanks and i stopped caring entirely about being offensive, which i can draw out for hours easily.

No one said we hate that kind of games, just that we don't care for them. Playing RTS and FPS on consoles is harder and complicated because there's no mouse and keyboard. There's no argument here.
