that's fairly obvious but surely the game could load more than one room at a time so you don't have to sit through the door screen every single bloody time. it could give you a quick scene where you just walk through that door (a la Zelda/Mario) and only doing the cut scene bit when you move to a different floor or go through a door that goes from one side of a building to another. i've played Zero, 1, 2 and 3 on GC and i never thought the door loading screens was a good idea. at one point i actually thought 'i miss the word 'LOADING' that comes up in other games'Arkley said:Yeah the door open scene is a common trope of the Resident Evil series. It's used to disguise loading scenes though, it wasn't just the developers deciding to force us to watch a door swing open every time we wanted to leave a room lolPureChaos said:oh hell yes. played that not too long ago and it was great. only thing that annoys me is that stupid cinematic EVERY time you go through a door. even so, was a great game, very creepy and atmospheric with some cool puzzlesArkley said:If you haven't played the Resident Evil remake, you haven't experienced real survival horror.
On the Scthack servers I presume?Aylaine said:I still play PSO Blue Burst (Ep 1, 2 and 4 all combined) online. It lets me relive the good old days, because PSO was so different from other RPG's but once you got into it, it was damn fun! Also had amazing music.ZeroMachine said:A thousand times this. PSO 1+2 were amazing, and I still play them to this day on occasion. Try and get the Plus version if you can, but thats normally about 80$ online...Aylaine said:If you can find it, Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 is definitely a good game. I had my fondest memories of my gamecube due to that game. xDFirstToStrike said:I'm a collector of previous-generation game consoles, and I need some good games for it.
Right now, I've got:
Metroid Prime
F-Zero GX
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Any suggestions?![]()
Pretty much everything listed here^ I would also recommend Tales of Symphonia if you like JRPG'sMetalDooley said:Can't go wrong with any of the following
Zelda:Wind Waker
Super Mario Sunshine
Paper Mario:Thousand Year Door
Smash Bros:Melee
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2:Rogue Leader(or alternatively go for Rogue Squadron 3:Rebel Strike which includes RS2 as a bonus co-op mode)
Metroid Prime 2
Luigi's Mansion
Pikmin 1&2
Eternal Darkness:Sanity's Requiem
1080 Avalanche
Not enough, so I'll mention it again. TALES OF SYMPHONIA.Ice Car said:Animal Crossing, if you can stand the extremely kiddish character of the franchise.
Also Wind Waker, TALES OF SYMPHONIA, TALES OF SYMPHONIA, AND TALES OF SYMPHONIA.
Oh, and did I mention Tales of Symphonia?
Wait, I thought it had OoT Master Quest, not Majora's Mask... did I miss something when I played it?Leviano said:oh and if you get the special edition of zelda wind waker, you get Ocarina of time and Majora's Mask with it![]()
Super smash bros Melee. I've spent hundreds of hours on that game.FirstToStrike said:I'm a collector of previous-generation game consoles, and I need some good games for it.

Real survival horror: fearing what's around the corner or in the next room because one is low on ammo and/ or health/ health items. If you cannot confront it...you will have to outmaneuver it....Arkley said:If you haven't played the Resident Evil remake, you haven't experienced real survival horror.
That's crazy considering its now 11 years old.Aylaine said:Yeah, and no its not. There's still 200 or so people on at any given time.Jazoni89 said:Aylaine said:I still play PSO Blue Burst (Ep 1, 2 and 4 all combined) online. I bet it's empty nearly all the time on there now.![]()
i love you for beating me to saying Baten Kaitos, so fun...i dunno if you got as screwed over my first time playing though, got stuck underlevel on the gold ship >.< just could not beat that boss battleAvalanche91 said:Most good titles have already been named, but let me add one.
Baten kaitos
A unique RPG, both in setting and gamemechanics. Its pretty hard to get by (least on my side of the Atlantic). For a gamecube game, the graphics are pretty damn good.....but you'll have to put up with some earbleedingly bad voice acting.
Worth a look if you can find it for cheap though.
Metal Gear Solid; Twin Snakes (already on the list)
Well, its a good jumping on point if you dont want to play the nes games. It was pretty amusing.
I would say Eternal Darkness and Timesplitters too, but I never got a working copy of either of them, so I cant judge![]()
