How do you use your gamer eyes?

I have gamer eyes I can see everything in a game in a second, the ammo on the floor, the slight movement in the top right hand corner that denotes an enmey out for your goolies and of course all the other little signs of imminent death.

This has bled into my real life like being able to see the stuff in my room other people would search for hours to find. I am currently trying to prove that gamer eyes are useful in arguement with someone else so say how you use them?

If I do have gamer eyes and if that is how I get good at games, I do not notice. Either that or I call it something else. I don't know if consider this a reflex or if that is something else, I attribute any skill in a game to reflexes I have developed for that type of gameplay. For example if I was to see a guy off to my right in Halo by reflex I would turn towards him while jumping and lob a grenade in his direction, first checking to see if it is an ally.

I would say: Yup. Especially after playing adventure games (Ahh King's Quest. Who else would know that small little yellow mass of pixels was a bell?). Those pixel hunters will always increase awareness!

You have a gun, people who want you dead are approaching. You can see which ones have guns and should be dealt with first.

Nope, can't say I do.

Which is probably at least part of the reason why I suck so much in online FPS games.

I can't remember the game, but I told my friends 'Look out! Sniper!'. Sure enough after my friend said 'huh?' headshot.

No, I don't think I have. Games are great though, everyone keep playing, and you'll all be healthier people!

I'm not really sure, it may be insecurity on my part but whenever I enter a room I scan it. The open floor space, walls and ceiling.
Any game with a motion sensor e.g. Halo my eyes hardly ever leave the motion sensor, racing games with a mini map in the corner of the screen I sort of flick between the road and the map (view MUST be the bumper camera)

Yes, playing over a thousand hour of WipeOut in my life time has given me the ability to pay attention to everything at once in games. At Rapier and Phantom modes you have to be able to do this other wise you are toast.

I admit to having a hybrid of splinter cell vision combined with assassin's creed vision. I'm not saying i have Eagle vision or Night Vision etc., but I notice when there's a sturdy looking storm drain I could climb, or a shadow that I could hide in. I tend to mentally note the field of vision for those around me.
