Gamerscore gone/ Battlefeild 3

I was just playing Battlefield 3 when I got a message saying that I got 5 achievements. I looked and found out that my gamerscore had been turned into 140 and 3 years of playing has gone down the drain.

Now, I've read that this has been a problem with the game and it has been happening on a massive scale.

Has this happened to anybody else? Has anybody heard if this will be fixed? Will anybody save me?!

Edit: It seems that it also took away all my avatar rewards.

This just happened to me. Was playing ME1 and wanted to look at my progress, turns out all my games have been reset, but my gamerscore is still the same. Is this a thing? I've never heard anything like this before (except for modders).

Just booted my Xbox up there, my gamerscore is saying that it's 90343 (as it should be) but when I open it up it only has 4 games on the list. How very odd.

EDIT: Just checked on it again and the list of games is up to seven. Problem at Microsoft perhaps?

DOUBLE EDIT: The advice on Twitter seems to be to sign out then sign in again, which hasn't worked for me anyway. Also "gamerscore" is the fourth highest trending topic for the UK.

TRIPLE EDIT!: Re-downloading the profile now seems to be the thing to do to sort it (which has worked for me). Side-note, I'm sick of having to edit this.

Other people that played BF3 have been having the problem. None of those things seem to be helping anyone.

I've experienced the same problem today. However luckily the issue can be quite easily fixed by just recovering your profile. after re-downloading your profile your achievements should be there, it worked for me.
