Orignally thought up mine when i first started gaming and since then i've used it for nearly all of my main characters, or in the case that the character is female i use bobtina because its an ace name.

Occasionally i'll use Gortash when the game doesnt really fit for savandicus to be the characters name, i.e anything set post 1500s. I choose Gortash because it sounds cool and is similar to my name, same starting letter and same number of silibles, and 4 of the same letters out of 7. 10 points for anyone who can work out my name.

Megalomania seemed appropriate because most protagonists in games seem to have something of that character about them. Except the characterless ones where you are supposed to project your own personality onto them, in which case I project a megalomaniac...

I guess that says something about my attitude to gaming

My name is Jake Potter. So if I cut off the 'ter and move the words that remain together, I get Jakepot which is similar to jackpot. Thus my gamertag, The Jakepot.

I made it up in seconds. My friend played some online game and asked me to join so I tought I'd make a new name so first thing popped up was movie Click with Adam Sander and tought thats sounds and looks cool. So I just accidentaly while registering put r into it and now I use that name everywhere.

Sovvolf,
Well its the name of the main character of a comic book I was writing at the time, I have since abandond the comic book but the name stuck. The name actually comes from an everquest spell lol, I wanted to call my character Spirit of the wolf, but well you couldnt put spaces so it ended up Spiritofwold which looked odd so I shortend it to Sowolf but it wouldnt let me have it so I wrote it agin with 2 v's instead of a W and I ended up with Sovvolf, then people kept calling me Sov so I just kept the double v.

The letters are my surname backwards and the numbers are the year i was born in.

I'm changing it soon.

Highcastle. Taken from *gasp* a book of all things. It's right there in the title, so if anyone can guess the full title and author, you get a cookie.

Mine deserves a tad bit a backstory. A LOOOOONG while back, my brother got an XBL account for Halo 2 pwnering. He named said account x5ecret5quirrel. There was no reason to this name, it was just meant to be the character Secret Squirrel, but now a rougue Secret Squirrel. My account (then) was called Nizharu. Dad came up with it, not me. Anywho, a couple years later, I wanted a fresh start, so I canceled my old account, and made a new one. My brother insisted it include squirrel, so we could be the squirrels. I went along with it. I just typed in his gamertag and saw what the random name generator popped up, and VoltenSquirrel popped up. I thought that was a little lame, so I changed the en to a y, to create VoltySquirrel, it electric squirrel go. And that's how it came about. :)

mine's just the name of a song which i though sounded cool. if anyone can't work it out, it's a sort of phonetic spelling of the word sleep > suhlEap
