I dream a lot, and over the last few years my game-related dreams seem to have gotten far more frequent. Usually L4D zombie apocalypse dreams, but recently I've dreamt about being in a world that was some ungodly hybrid of Assassin's Creed, Silent Hill and Myst. And the night before, I dreamt that I was one of the horses in Assassin's Creed. (And I only game about 5-8 hours a week when I'm busy at uni. In fact, I'm writing an essay about video games in the context of postmodernist art, so perhaps it's just because I've been thinking about them a lot lately.) So, I'm just curious- Does anyone else get game dreams regularly too?

Please, someone tell me that I'm not the only one to have a HUD in most of their dreams.

I dream of games, but I don't game a lot so it's mostly a mesh of the game world and the events in my life (or the events I'd wish were in my life).

I once played Luxor for a whole day and ended up not being able to close my eyes without seeing the damnable balls. Couldn't fall asleep either!

But no, never a HUD there. :/ I think that's one of the signs of schizophrenia!

I have a strange thing sometimes when I wake up after playing Fable II I can actually see a glowing trail to the fridge (I usually get up for a snack in the night)

After playing way too much Prototype and Assassin's Creed I started to have a recurring element in my dreams where I would press a button in my mind that would allow me to sprint and easily hop over waist high objects.

I can't really say I've ever had any game related dreams before, and I play video games daily. However, I'm not particularly good a remembering dreams...

My game-related dreams usually involve me getting the most awesome game ever, playing it and loving it.

Then I wake up and realise I don't have it. :(

Not regularly, but after I played a game for a long time, like 4-8 hours straight, I usually have a dream about it.

Most of my dreams involve zombies, assassinations, and rocket launchers.

A couple of years ago I played WAY too much Vice City one weekend then woke up on Monday and looked around for a save point so I could "quit and go to school". It wasn't quite a dream, but I've been a little less trusting of my brain since then.

I've never had dreams based on games, at least that I know of. Most of my dreams consist of blackness, or I can't remember them.

If I play the game a lot I tend to dream about it. If it's frustrating me I also tend to dream about it- if I go to bed thinking about strategies and ways to beat the game it's inevitable that it's going to come up in my dream land.

Then again I also dream that survival-horror games will be banned and that my cat will become a dictator.

I don't usually dream, but, when I'm half-awake, I seem to operate under video game logic. For example, after losing myself in GTA: San Andreas for a couple of weeks, every time I saw purple graffiti, I had the distinct urge to go paint 'Grove Street' all over it. Mind you, it had become an automatic instinct to scan walls for spray paint.

If I do have dreams about games, they're usually puzzle games. OO You don't want to know how often I've seen sudoku or spinnerbox in my dreams. XD

I've dreamt of playing games and of being in games but I mostly don't remember my dreams, especially after I've gone to sleep again (i.e., the next day). My weirdest game dream would probably be when I dreamt of Tetris followed by any dream with a HUD in it (I've had at least three) and the biggest repeaters would be Mario and Halo, and I've also dreamt of combining elements of games before but I don't remember them.

I had a dream that was some strange and unholy frankenstein of Metroid Prime, Portal, and Samurai Warriors. What's even stranger is that I've never played portal.

I rarely dream about games but I did once dream that I came home from work and all the furniture was stuck up in the roof somehow. Had to jump up to sit down XD

Once when I was young and flu-ridden, I played Populous continuously for days. Had nothing better to do and it was a fantastic little game. Problem is, whenever I stopped and closed my eyes or went to sleep, all I could see was land being raised and lowered continuously. Lately, I've had a similar experience with Bejeweled after several sleepless, pickled nights. Finally fell asleep and had gem-stacking and exploding dreams.
