With the many rumors of a Final Fantasy VII remake coming up, I´ve been thinking to myself: If they have decided to make a remake of this game, then there is some other games they got to remake. The same goes for movies. With a remake, the younger generation who missed it will get a chance to re-experience the good stuff from the past. It doesn't how old the game/movie is, if you want to see a remake of it, spread the words and share your thoughts.

The game I would love to see remade, is Final Fantasy VI. The game is one of the best in the franchise and deserves to be remade for this generation of consoles. In 3D, new spells espers and remastered music, I would by it day one, hour one.

The movie I choose is not actually a movie but a TV-series. I would love to see a remastered Twilight Zone. I´ve seen several episodes and found it to be amazing. I just really want to see a re-mastering of this show on my TV. Make it happen, producers (please?)

I'd love to see the Crash Bandicoot games remade. The Naughty Dog ones on PS1

Normally I'm quite averse to the thought of remakes, but KotOR could do with it. The older graphics and especially the strangely voiceless protagonist make it very hard for someone accustomed to Mass Effect to get into it.

Doctor W- no, wait.
My Little P- okay, never mind...
...this is harder than I thought.

It'd be nice if they rebooted the Animorphs TV series, except with a higher budget and more competent writers. Oh! And it would be directed by Steven Moffat! That would be so brilliant...
In the way of games, I wanted to say Halo and Sonic, but those remakes are already in progress or finished. Hmm...

I'd like to see remakes of System Shock 2 and Deus Ex - but only if they're completely faithful remakes. Basically, modernize the graphics, but leave the rest alone. Don't bring in a new voice cast, don't add in bullshit quicktime events or regenerating health, and absolutely no reinterpretations or reimaginings of the stories.

Yes to new gameplay, yes to new graphics, no to voice acting. I really don't want that in my KOTOR. If the games had Dragon Age 1 style combat to up the challenge, I'd be all for it. But keep the silent protagonist.

In general I don't like the idea of remaking movies, as the original is still around and is almost always still better.

I've never thought about it with games, but now that I have I'm actually for it in a lot of cases. With old movies there's very little stopping us going back to watch them again but that's not the case for games with changes in operating systems and consoles.

Top of my list would be the Ultima series - I know there's been a fan mod to sort of bring back Ultima VI, but having the whole series done properly would be awesome.

River City Ransom as a super-edgy reboot, instead of the lighthearted beat-'em-up of the original.

I would really like to see a remake of The Legend of Dragoon. I really loved that game, and would love to see some awesome improvements, as long as the feel of it would be the same.

Cube - I loved this horror movie concept but it and cube zero really suffered because of the over the top crazy character in the cubes.

Resident Evil 4 - I'd love to see this remade using a modern day smooth control scheme akin to say Mass Effect 2 or Uncharted.

Fact is I'm in favor of pretty much any remake. While it's true the remakes seldom hold up against the original, they do succeed in rebuilding the hype into a past experience you once loved.
