Hello all. Im new to the escapist community, and wanted to try posting my own thread. Feel free to post what game your playing here, or what game your most looking forward to after the summer drought.
I just bought Oblivion: Game of the Year addition, you know, since it's only thirty bucks now. Im half way through the shivering isles.

I'd like to know your opinion on Oblivion as I myself find it terribly overrated. I'm sure i'm not the only person that thinks this, but maybe I am. Regardless, I'd like to know your opinion on it.
I myself am currently playing BlackSite: Area 51 (I got it for $15), Dead Space (on impossible), Thief III, and Sonic Unleashed (yes, I like it).

I have really enjoyed Oblivion. Since I played Fallout 3 beforehand, I knew what to expect. The only real problems I had with it was the leveling system. Since U only lvl up by using major skills, you would have to be careful about what skills you picked. Whereas in Fallout 3, u get exp the normal way; by killing baddies. I overall feel the game wasn't worth the hype, but it isn't necessarily "overrated." Its fun, and thats what counts.

Since I just beat Gears of War 2 on insane (that's right, I'm better than everyone in the world because I spent months beating a video game on the hardest difficulty), nothing right now. I'm playing through Gears of War 1 but it's so frustratingly difficult that I can barely stand to play it. I've been having some fun with Battlefield 1943 and Left 4 Dead, but right now I'm waiting for Guitar Hero 5, Borderlands, and Left 4 Dead 2.

I managed to get hold of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge again and am actually going to complete it.

Considering I completed the first game and all and somewhat gave up on MI2 after forgetting about it...
