Mirror's Edge. I really liked the red and white colors rather than the usual line-up of gun metal gray and dog shit brown. It made it a lot easier to see, and I enjoyed jumping and flipping all over the place like an adrenaline fueled frog.
Ditto. Everyone told me not to buy it but fuck them I did and I liked it
Yay, I'm not the only one.

Robot Alchemic Drive for the PS2.

The plot was horrible, it revolved around you being the heir of this odd foundation that made three giant warmachines, and space being full of radiation that killed everything no matter how you tried to shield it, and aliens invading earth.

Voice acting was beyond bad, seriously, I'm sure there are youtube clips, they are bad.

Controls were weird.

But despite it all, it was a freakin' blast to drive a giant robot around a city and engage in huge knockdown dragout frights with giant space monsters. Game got way too much flak from people for it to be that fun.

Halo. I'm not sure what my local hero Yahtzee has against it but I thought they were great fun. Also anyone who has a PS2, look for a game called 'Mashed', this game is severely underrated. It's a racing type game...sort of. Thing Carmageddon but from more of an above-view, organised tracks and no pedestrians in the way. Great game for having normal, non-gamer friends around. Skill is good, but no guarantee of a win. One of the only games I know that does this.

I like mirror's edge

y'know, if it was just a stark red and white then I'd like the game's visual design. I'ts the other bright colours that mess this design up.

Enter the Matrix. Call me crazy, but I can't help feeling that for all it's faults, it's a fantastically fun game. Case in point: The Niobe level where you're being chased by an Agent. Now, since Niobe and Ghost aren't exactly on par with The One, we're told throughout the game that it's never a good idea to try to outfight fight Agents, only to outrun them. Still, I can never resist trying to fight them anyway... And it's a blast every time.
You win my badge of approval! Enter the Matrix was a fantastic game, but there was nothing more fun than throwing a security guard through a glass window with Ghost's uber drop-kick while using Focus.

Agreed. The very simple act of jumping of the side of a wall, spinning around and kicking someone right in the face never lost its charm, NEVER.

"[a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stretch_Panic"]Stretch Panic[/a]", which is basically "Shadow of the Colossus" for girls 8-12. I don't care what the critics gave it out-of-ten; it's fun. Besides, I am a huge fan of personal attack garments. And mushrooms.

Legend of Dragoon and Primal were both thrashed horribly by reviewers and gamers- but I can't help but love them anyway. I almost liked Final Fantasy X-2, but it was just so damn girly. The battle system was new-ish and interesting, and various missions, mini games, and what not kept it somewhat entertaining. If they vetoed the "Pop Princess Yuna" and "Girls can kick butt, too!! <3" stuff, it would have been much more enjoyable.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Ok, I realise that as an RPG it's awful, and the storyline and characters are very poor.

But, the combat system was so well done and so satisfying to use, that I've played through it 3 times and enjoyed it every time.

I love Resident Evil 4 and Half Life 2 ernomously, I get alot of strangers stoping me in the street and asking me if I like those two games, when I say "yep, love them" I get berated.

Did I read this correctly?
Those games won all sorts of rewards in 2005(?).

Assassin's Creed, if it counts as generally considered overrated, probably not ^^ Same thing for Jedi Academy.

Funnily enough people tend not to stop me in the street to ask me whether I like games. Where exactly do you live?

What even more funny is that both of those games (especially Half Life 2) received massive praise from critics, Half Life 2 receiving over 20 awards I believe.

If Final Fantasy X-2 counts, then I'll list that. I loved it.

Apart from that, hmm, I don't know... I guess I could say the Dynasty Warriors series, even I don't know why I like it, but there's something so appealing about whacking a whole heap of guys with a stick. And I really love that Three Kingdoms stuff, not that I know much about it.
