Games deserving a remake or sequel

A new Mechwarrior would be nice, less of 4's slot BS and more free customization(Dammit, make the models change with the weapon choices too >.<)

A new Hybrid Heaven would be awesome as well. I mean, who didn't like owning mutants with nothing but fighting moves?

Also, a remake of Final Fantasy II would be nice, all 3D (preferably not like the remake of IV with that modeling style, good game, just weird)

Republic Commando, great game with a cliffhanger ending yet no sequel? Come on LucasArts.

There is a series of books... However the latest release has an incredibly stupid ending...

I've read them (well not the new but thats still in hardcover only) but it didn't say how Sev is still alive after the ending where he is left behind.

The latest book goes into some detail of the aftermath. However, it's not that much, only a chapter or so and as I recall a short chapter. The next one should go into detail about it.

The original Mother and Mother 3 released here in America for a counsel that is good. But not for the Wii since you know the Wii is somewhat a bad system.

Of games people already listed, I agree with: Star Wars: Republic Commando, Jet Force Gemini, Legacy of Kain, and Hexen (though it has sequels, id made Heretic: Beyond Hexen and Heretic 2).

I'll add Thief, Enclave, TimeShift, and Mortal Kombat (a proper one).

since i never had a chance to play Silent Hill and SH2, i would like to see them remade with new graphics and controls.and maybe RE2. i miss Sam Fishers sarcasm and stealth games,so continuation of the seires would be nice..i know there's SC Convictions coming,but it looks not stealthy and reading some posts from you guys,Shadow of the colossus in hi-def would've been breathtaking..again^^

I think The Witcher and Shadow Of Colossus both deserve sequels, also a proper Baulders Gate sequel

I thought they were developing a Witcher sequel already. Not sure where i read that, but I thought I saw that a while ago.

I don't know. It's such an inventive game. I mean it's story line and it's monsters are way more inventive then most of them today. I mean, who doesn't want to see the crock monster boss of the first day with it's electrified snappers in today's 3-d?

running from the parasite baby thing on the ship, not to mention the whole scene with the statue of liberty and the jetfighters flying around in new york city.

this game was SO far ahead of it's time. It'd benefit greatly from a remake, there's a third game coming out on the psp iirc, but I don't think the psp simply won't do it the kind of epic justice the 360/ps3 would.

There's a translation patch out for mother 3, if you're in to emulation, just google "mother 3 translation patch"

As far as the original mother, it's more or less mother 2 (earthbound) but in NES graphics, there's little point in porting it.


That being said, an earthbound (mother 2) REMAKE on the wii (I'd prefer the 360, but we all know that nintendo would never give up the rights for mother because it sells like hotcakes in japan.) would be awesome.
