Is "anything X-Box" too vague?

I've honestly not gotten the appeal, but I'm not much for consoles anymore.

So what you really meant was, I hate mainstream FPS's because I'm so original and different?
Uhm no? I play more than enough mainstream games, but the fact that I do not own a current generation console but do own a pc also doesnt help; I tried these games on my mates 360 and although they are fun enough for a short while I can not see myself playing them for extended periods. If im not mainstream I wouldnt be playing every GTA ever released, not playing TF2 or L4D :) That and I like colors :) No need to be accusing :)
Alright :) My bad. xx

Well, I'M a nice person while playing fpses...
That's probably because I refuse to become one of those headset-wearing douchebags.

As for games... I'm gonna have to say Scribblenauts. Interesting concept... fun at first... painfully boring by the end. Also, all puzzles are annoyingly easy or murderously difficult. No middle-ground. I think this mostly has to do with absolutely godawful controls.

Blech. That's gotta suck. Play "No More Heroes" instead, heh.

Games I don't like that everyone else does? The list is long. Zelda, Final Fantasy, Halo, and I'll agree that Sims didn't live up to the hype I was probably misinformed of. Zelda, I hate on a fundamental reason that it is boring and the gameplay has always been shitty to me. I like the music, the art, and the story when it is told in a manga format. But the games are just absolutely stupid. Final Fantasy I just can't get into. I think I'll agree with Yahtzee that there is no appeal (to me) about running around on the ceiling, dressed up like twats. And Halo has its moments, but I just get bored of it easily. I've played better shooters that are just more fun. Halo, doesn't do it for me.

As an interesting twist, there are games that only I seem to enjoy that almost everyone else seems to hate. Sonic The Hedgehog (old and new), F-Zero series, Kirby Air Ride, and even your run of the mill card-game-gone-video-game (saves me money buying shitloads of cards and I can still enjoy outsmarting all the 1's and 0's).

There are many overrated games such as Dead Rising or the Half-Life series, but I'm not entirely sure that the fans actually like them, rather than having simply convinced themselves that they like them.
So instead, I believe the greatest contrast between the enjoyment of a game by me and by others came from the original Super Mario Bros.

Uhhh... I never understood why Metal Gear Solid and the post-PSX Final Fantasy titles were so adored. I mean, FFX isn't even a game: just hours of FMV and a multitude of passé, turn-based battles cobbled together. And Metal Gear Solid is the same inasmuch as FMV is concerned, it's just that its betrayed by a greater concern for the camera angle you're viewing the gameplay from than the gameplay itself. Plus the godawful dialogue - dear lord, help me.

Halo: Combat Evolved I never liked, mostly because it seemed like a regression from a refined shooter like GoldenEye 007 - it lacked bots, its single-player was repetitive, and the absene of more complex sequences in the game's story mode sans 'kill this' or 'blow this up' recalled Quake (I did enjoy the inclusion of vehicles, however). Punch-Out I never liked, either: I'm always just baffled by the patterning and turn it off, though I'm not really in a position to assess whether more playtime is rewarding, having never gotten past the second stage.

Lastly, I tend to think 16-bit Square/Enix JRPGs are overrated: like, yeah, Final Fantasy III is fine, but for all the tedium of levelling up and enduring a story that - let's face it - is comparable to a run-of-the-mill 'pop' fantasy novel, is it really better than Super Mario World or A Link to the Past? The RPGs I like, for the most part, aren't the 'hardcore' ones but those that engage me in more ways than with their supposedly 'genius' storylines or battle mechanics: Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, Pokémon R/B + G/S, Fallout 1 + 2, Morrowind, Harvest Moon, Legend of the River King, etc.

Doom 3 is not a good game. It's not scary. It isn't challenging. It was only target practice.
...Not to mention it just wasn't a DOOM game. For the true sequel to DOOM II, check out DOOM 64.

Batman : Arkham Asylum. I never really got into it. I was expecially irritated by the fact that there isn't any jump button. Only double hit X for dodge. It kinda kills the immersion when I can't jump over a fence , so I have to walk around it. I'm supposed to be freaking batman!
