This. Dark atmosphere, gothic characters, decent story. It's all right, I suppose. I don't assume being gothic should really affect your taste in games TOO much.

THIS GAME WAS very shitty but somehow VERY GOOD hahaha It's just that some things, like the animations, were awful, but the game itself, it was, fuck me, it was a gem! Very unbalanced though, I made a vampire who was great with conversations and stuff, and got stuck in a part of the game because I HAD to KILL this fucker and I wasn't strong enough. Anyway, this game needs to be remade, new graphics, better balance and stuff, and re-released. I had tons of fun with it!!!

but that's only with cheats right? I don't think the devs ever expected you to take control of npc's, or if they did then yeah that is kind of weird.

Yes. There is a possession spell but there are many other NPCs on which it doesn't work so it wouldn't be an issue.
