I recently purchased a PS3 and was excited to finally be able to paly games like Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid, and Fat Princess.

I tried the new Batman game on the PS3 and I have already played it on the Xbox 360 and it looks exactly the same. I have heard for a long time how games look better on the PS3 but it looks the same to me. I have a HDTV and both my 360 and PS3 are connected with HDMI cables.

So, my question is do all of the multiconsole games look the same on the PS3 as they do on the 360 or are there some that look better? If not the I'm going to continue to get multiconsole games on the 360.

Also, could you recomend some good PS3 exclusive games for me to try?

Multiplatform games look the same on both consoles unless the developers were having trouble coding for the PS3. I don;t know where you heard about all games looking better on the PS3 but its a lie.
Can't compare exclusives cause i don't own a 360.

I'm not sure if this is PS3 exclusive or not but i know it is on the ps3. Pixel Junk Monsters is fun when you just want to waste a few hours. Basic tower defense game. Pixel Junk Racers is good for when you have friends over. Otherwise....Fat Princess which you already mentioned. Flower. God of War. wipEoutHD is decent. Crash Commando. Lumines. Soldner-X: Himmelssturmer if you like hard side scrollers. Savage Moon another tower defense game. SIREN: Blood Curse if you like scary ish. Silent Hill if you like scary ish. Everyday Shooter even though i suck at games like this, i love it. Blast Factor. Super Stardust HD. and that's all I can come up with for now.

PS3 Games are generally better coloured(as in the colours on the 360 look disconcertingly off in comparison).

If you enjoy sandbox type games you should check out 'Infamous.' RPG's exclusives are 'Disgaea 3,' 'Folklore' and 'Valkyria Chronicles.' First Person Shooters you have both 'Resistance' games, I never played the first one but the second one is definitely fun. Then of course there's 'Metal Gear Solid 4.' That's all I can think of right now.

Thanks for the recommendations. I will check them out.

Can't really say anything about graphics (my 360 is from back where there was no HDMI port, that was like 2006 I think), but Infamous is a great exclusive. Ratchet and Clank is also really fun.

Most of the major titles that I am interested in for PS3 haven't been released yet, like Heavy Rain and God of War III, but give Uncharted 2 a try... it seems to be one that takes full advantage of the Blu-Ray format... haven't heard anything too negative about it aside from the whole 'unoriginal' thing.

Someone mentioned inFamous which I'd recommend. I'm not really sure. I only own a PS3 and have a lot of multi platform games like Bioshock.

Yes, they do. Anyone who says that there's any -real- difference in ports is a liar and an idiot. Generally the PS3 likes to have shadow issues (sometimes too dark, sometimes not dark enough), and isn't as sharp, but it makes up for it by not being as grainy as the 360.

Games to get:
LittleBigPlanet
fl0w (though it's free on the PC)
Metal Gears Solid 4 (assuming you don't mind gameplay to cutscene ratio being ridiculous)
Uncharted 2 (the only game I'd consider to be worth getting a PS3 for, it's amazing)
Uncharted 1

Games to avoid:
Resistance: Fall of Man (absolutely awful FPS)
HAZE (obviously)
Killzone 2 (unless you enjoyed Crysis)

Sweet mother of god.

I hate to shit on people's opinions...but...INFAMOUS.

Everything else you suggested is pretty spot on (never played resistance though)...but INFAMOUS.

Holy shit! If you want a grand example at a poorly coded experience it would be that game. How the hell are police shooting me as I travel at hyper speeds across a powerline dozens of stories in the air while they are on the street?

They NEVER MISS.

Holy shit...if you want to play a game that at least makes a little sense play Prototype, the storyline is more interesting than Infamous too.

If you gamefly it you'll be pleased, but I pitty anyone who bought infamous...

Metal Gear Solid 4 was SO worth it. An 8 hour movie with interactive intermissions ;). Can do.

I take issue with this.

R:FOM was pretty good, Resistance 2 was total shit.
Killzone 2 was a great FPS for the PS3, especially online.

Give me a second... *checks profile*

Okay suspicions confirmed about you, however you could say the same about me since I did sell my 360.

OT: You should probably get Killzone 2, Uncharted, Resistance: Fall of Man, flOw, Flower, Pixel Junk: Monsters, LittleBigPlanet, and Metal Gear Solid 4.

Suspicions confirmed? About what, owning a 360 and a PS3 at the same time?

Killzone 2 suffers from the same thing as every CryTek game suffers from-Pretty graphics, but that's all you get. Killzone 2 looks great, but the gameplay and story are...Ugh. The multiplayer is decent, but not worth playing over Uncharted 2 or MGSO.

Resistance 1 was one of the most boring campaigns I've ever played, and it was ugly to boot-I can't say much about the multiplayer, since I never enjoyed it enough to play it often. I don't own Resistance 2, so I can't say much about that.
