Most of the time, the motion controls on the Wii are just gimmicks and fail. What would be some good games for the motion controls?
They could be remakes or just ideas.

I think that Oblivion would make a good Wii game, as long as the graphics and world aren't scaled down, I think it would be pretty good.

Any game which doesn't utilise the dodgy Miis. I think maybe a mainstream shooter would be interesing and at least make the Wii experience different to the other consoles.

There is no way Oblvion could ever be on the Wii. The motion controls are only good for sport games.

The combat in obivon sucked bad enough with a normal controller... god help the Wii owners if they ever get hold of it!!

I can't imagine most Wii people spending hours micro managing a very geeky rpg like Oblivion (I mean this as a compliment, by the way... I'm a geek when it comes to my rpgs)

See, that's exactly why it would work on the Wii. However you swung the controls is how you swing it in the game. And the nunchuck will be used for using magic. The controls will be better if it were on the Wii.

You could be right!

Mario Tennis and sword fighting games once motion plus is out. Also overhead views that require a lot of selection.

Actually, I never thought of it... but An RTS might actually be good on Wii. Just use the remote to point and click....

Hmm.

I found the controls in Boom Blox and Eledees worked well.
Games where you need to interact with the environment.

Sword games would still be a bit iffy until they release the motion control add on.
A lot of people think the wii has 1:1 motion mapping. It doesnt. It can simulate it well but it's not fine enough for a sword fight.

Nobody thinks about it, but the wii controls (the point and click ones) are very close to mouse controls.
Many developers just focus on the waggle-aspect of the controller, but the lightgun aspect is ignored too often

Two Words:
Katamari Dalamcy.

Thread Over.
Grateful that was one of the first suggestions, though I always thought KD would be better on the DS where you could have rollerball-like controls on the touchscreen. But Noooo; they had to make it all lame on the psp with it's one analog stick: the one version of Katamari that I never bought.

For the Wii, I would have to suggest Dawn of War, any GTA (some of the best wii games are GTA clones like Godfather & Bully), Sims (a real sims game not the crappy console ports), Burnout (as long as it's one of the older ones with the real crash junctions; paradise is crap), and Jedi Knight 2.

This game doesn't exist, but I'd love to be Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street with the "wiimote" as my razor :-D ....or Jason Vorheez

DBZ budablala tenkablabla 3 is the funnest fighting game I've ever played. I'm a pretty big DBZ nerd and motion controlling a Kamehameha never gets old.

Why don't they just make a sword/lightsaber game that just works the way you expect it... That'd be a nice change of pace.

Left 4 dead is supposed to come to wii eventually. If it works like Metroid did- it will be fine and it won't feel gimmicky

More random stick shaking, just what the Wii needs...No, the Wii needs good RTS and FPS to use the motion controls effectively. The thing about the Wii is that it is like a computer and mouse in disguise, developers just need to pull their heads out of their asses and notice this...then maybe start listening to the gamers.
