I fell off a horse yesterday and broke both of my wrists. Since I enjoy playing fastpasted RPGs and FPSs, I've run into a problem of not being able to play them anymore.

So escapists I ask you to recomend me some games I can play on ps3 or PC with broken wrists.

EDIT: The way my hands are set in cast my thumbs don't reach the sticks like they should and I can't switch between the sticks and the d-pad. So most console games are more painful than the fun.

Thanks for the replies so far, so at least I have some idea on what to play. Just watching netflixs and playing some Yu Gi Oh/Pokemon at the moment on the DS.

Civ? Slow, easy mouse clicks. Myst-type games? Point and clicks, generally.

Anything for Kinect might work if you don't need the controller too.

Civ 5 is still on sale today on Steam, $10 or $13ish for GOTY edition. I got mine yesterday.

Er, as of this posting 2.5 hours left to purchase on sale.

Eek. That sucks, but I gotta say, you may be out of luck for games for awhile. I've broken my wrist, just one, and I couldn't play games while I healed. The only game I have been able to play while having wrist problems is Pokemon on the DS, using the stylus heavily and moving it around with my arm, not my wrist. Considering your wrists are broken, I'd highly recommend laying off the games during the healing process. Watch a lot of good movies, marathon a TV show you've been meaning to watch, maybe watch some LPs to get your gaming fix. If your wrist doesn't heal properly, it can be messed up for the rest of your life.

I broke (and dislocated) my thumb last year and I've recently fractured and ripped the tendons in a finger. Pokemon and Final Fantasy X have been my games of choice in these dark times.

You can still play Dance Dance Revolution!
If you want RPG's I'd recommend something turn based, that way you can take your time and not injure yourself further.

Looks like I'm gonna have to brush the dust off my DS for when I'm done with Civ. Already own civ and have gotten to the point where there's not much left that I want to do. Sweet Jesus typing is difficault.

You can still play Call of Duty. It requires no hands.

Hating aside, you can play turn based strategy games like Galactic Civilizations 2 since you already played Civ. Or point and click adventure games.

If you haven't played Portal 2 yet, this could be a good time, as it requires very little dexterity. Portal 1 does require some dexterity though.

Try some strategy or JRPGs. P3 FES is on PSN or you could get into Disgaea (and if you do get into Disgaea that will be the only game you need).

Tetris? Pokemon? Something with a basic 4-directional control scheme with no strafing/circling etc? 2-D Sonics might be good.

Its a little clumsy to control, but you could definitely play some good turn-based/strategy RPGs with it. If you like fast-paced things, try some JRPGs with timing elements, perhaps? Just be careful; your hands are very important.

Still, my mother's wrist is just out of a cast and she's having a lot of pain because they messed up multiple casts and her brace. Broken wrists are no fun, and I feel for you.

I hope you heal up well.

Like other users here. I would recommend anything turn based. Since u can take as long as you like to make your move.
