Looks like I'm gonna have to brush the dust off my DS for when I'm done with Civ. Already own civ and have gotten to the point where there's not much left that I want to do. Sweet Jesus typing is difficault.

Tom Clancy's Endwar did have full voice commands if memory serves, if you have something run it on. Other than that, I'd agree with everyone else and say something turn based.

For gods sake how has no one mentioned Pokemon?

Go buy a used DS lite and a copy of Pokemon white/black and get yourself up to speed.

I guess you'll just have to play... The waiting game.
seconds pass... The waiting game sucks Let's play Hungry Hungry hippos. you can hit the bite stick lever thingy with your forehead

sorry had to mangle a simpsons line on topic I'd have to recommend Disgaea Once you get hooked those games will swallow your life their is almost no end to the micromanaging of characters and equipment and reincarnations and pirating and reverse pirating and if you ever get bored you may even consider playing the main plot line with a ps3 your pretty much limited to games 3 and 4 but if you have a psp or vita or ps2 you can play the first 2

You don't use your wrists when you use a controller unless you're playing on the Wii, so any console game should be fine.
true but in the excitement of fast based action games a lot of players indulge in a lot of unnecessary controller tilting for example turning the controller like a steering wheel when turning a sharp corner in an immersive racing game stuff like that so I can see how actiony games could be slightly problematic and very painful

Eek. That sucks, but I gotta say, you may be out of luck for games for awhile. I've broken my wrist, just one, and I couldn't play games while I healed. The only game I have been able to play while having wrist problems is Pokemon on the DS, using the stylus heavily and moving it around with my arm, not my wrist. Considering your wrists are broken, I'd highly recommend laying off the games during the healing process. Watch a lot of good movies, marathon a TV show you've been meaning to watch, maybe watch some LPs to get your gaming fix. If your wrist doesn't heal properly, it can be messed up for the rest of your life.
Yeah, I'd second this. I haven't ever broken something myself, but I'd guess it would be better not to use your hands for more than the necessities. However Pokemon is turn based and doesn't require fast movements, you could also look into Final Fantasy IV for the DS. I would recommend Professor Layton since that's a game that requires no speed at all and you'll never be able to move fast doing anything. However that requires your wrists more than many games paced faster.

Last piece of advice. Stay away from any PC games requiring that you use the mouse no matter the pacing. Mouse movements are bad for your wrists even when they're not broken.

I'm fairly certain that you'd be able to manage Trials.

Right Trigger
Left Trigger
Analog Stick

...that's it.

When I dislocated my shoulder during football practice in highschool, the only game I could play comfortably was Medieval 2: Total War. I had all of Europe conquered by the time I could take off my sling. After that, I was back to playing Fallout 3.

I'm guessing he's using his feet! How could you be so silly to ask? :p. Seriously though, i'd suggest stuff like Persona 3/4 as well, great games.

I would recommend Kingdom of Loathing. A funny free browser game, mostly point-and-click with minimal typing required. However, you've got a limited number of turns per day so you'll need another game to play when they're all spent. You could revisit some old RPGs like Baldur's Gate 1-2, Icewind Dale 1-2 or Fallout 1-2. BG and ID have a pause option and Fallout is turn-based, so you can take your time.

I fell off a horse yesterday and broke both of my wrists. Since I enjoy playing fastpasted RPGs and FPSs, I've run into a problem of not being able to play them anymore.

So escapists I ask you to recomend me some games I can play on ps3 or PC with broken wrists.
Not sure what exactly having a broke wrist entails. What exactly can you not do anymore?
I can't switch between the d-pad and the sticks with any kind of speed since I have to rotate my arms to do it. I can move the right stick, but not all the way in any direction and moving the mouse takes a fair bit of effort.

Very slowly with great care. One key at a time...
