Have you played any of the millions of mods available? That game doesn't really need a remake IMO because the modding community has made it eminently replayable to the order of infinity. Any remake will invariably screw that up. As much as I'm going to buy it, I think R2TW is just going to be (like) a modded RTW with a new engine.Unkillable Cat said:Rome total war
The DS version not good enough for you? Well I suppose if they did it in the same Cell shaded style as Dragon Quest VIII or IX and brought back Akira Toriyama for the artwork and in-game graphics...LilithSlave said:Chrono Trigger.
And for good measure, hire the folks who were working on the fangame to make amends.
Only if they kept the isometric view point and fixed the battle system.Toshiooh said:Arcanum steamworks and magica, It would be nice if the remakes weren't all shooters though ^^
My first thought. Then I remembered that it's getting an XBLA/PSN HD re-release. Close enough, right.MadHatter1993 said:Jet Set Radio Future (we NEED THIS GAME)
Err, this topic is for games that deserve a full reake, not games that need to have been improved in some way...MadHatter1993 said:Only a few games,
Jet Set Radio Future (we NEED THIS GAME)
Bastion (to become a full disk game)
Alice Madness returns (not very good, fix it)
Mass Effect 3 (get rid of Chobot and EA Origins)
Bioshock 2 (fix Story)
Final Fantasy 9 (graphical improvement)
Final Fantasy 7 ( eh it works for everyone)
Half Life 1 (doesn't really need it, but it would be awesome)
Skyrim (Fraction Quests weren't as good as Oblivion)
Oddworld (they're working on it)
Assassin's Creed 3 (who dressed like that back then?!?)
BrÜtal Legend (remove RTS and add more story)
Star Wars Knights of the old Republic (every RPG fan is waitin)
Pokemon 1st gen. (because after so many remakes all the pokemon now look inbred and have down syndrome.)
Any game that tries to pass off as a full game "Halo 3" ODST, "Fallout 3" New Vegas, Assassin's Creed 2.3213whatever
Fallout 3 New Vegas (should have been an expansion or not cost retail, also melee was over powered.

Anyway, if just to get all the fanboys to shut up about it, FFVII. If my choice? HL1. Just so there's a bit more graphical and story continuity between it and the rest of the series.
Well, I'm not against remakes, its just that if there is any game I would play again, I would just play again instead of paying full price to do so. And any of the classic games that I always wanted to play have already been remade (Shadow of Colossus and Ico).ElPatron said:

And besides, I'd much rather new games of an equal quality than a remake of old games, but if you want to pay more money for the same experiences, don't let me stop you. But I want new experiences.
Blame the people who buy them. I know I won't pay full price for a DLC attached to a 5 hour campaign.Arluza said:No. No remakes. Already I have to see the same game put out every year (CoD, seeming to be Assassin's Creed, etc)
I understand why you would say that but games like TimesSplitters which need to be able to be played online again to fully enjoy they're glory again really do need to be re-made or at least re-realeased so I'm able to kill people online again using a snowman on a magic carpet using a gun that shoots syringes that inflate you until you explode into a puddle of blood, also with refined network sharing the created maps and custom missions would be freaking amazing, no more passing the memory card around with friends to find you're old map!The Last Nomad said:Lilani said:You're no fun :<The Last Nomad said:Absolutely none.

I know exactly what you mean with Timesplitters, but I'd still rather a new game in the series than a remake of any of the others. I still have Future Perfect on my PS2 and still play it quite often so I wouldn't bother buying it again.Kaleion said:I understand why you would say that but games like TimesSplitters which need to be able to be played online again to fully enjoy they're glory again really do need to be re-made or at least re-realeased so I'm able to kill people online again using a snowman on a magic carpet using a gun that shoots syringes that inflate you until you explode into a puddle of blood, also with refined network sharing the created maps and custom missions would be freaking amazing, no more passing the memory card around with friends to find you're old map!The Last Nomad said:Well, I'm not against remakes, its just that if there is any game I would play again, I would just play again instead of paying full price to do so. OT: TimeSplitters and any space sim, be it Freespace or Tie Fighter I don't really care I just want to fight in space online again, also Shadowman but only because the voice acting really sucks and I would like to see that game well acted.
Well I guess I shouldn't have pushed it on you, everyone has they're own opinions and I really only want it to be able to play it with my friends again since we all live in different cities, as for a sequel as long as it's actually TimeSplitters sure, I mean there are too many ways it could be screwed up so I'd really need to see it in action before deciding if I want it or not.The Last Nomad said:I know exactly what you mean with Timesplitters, but I'd still rather a new game in the series than a remake of any of the others.
