The DS version not good enough for you?
Not really, no. I own a copy, but not much was added.

It hardly counts as a "remake". IV, yes. Chrono Trigger, no.

I-War. Effing fantastic space sim with reasonably realistic physics.
Frontier: Elite II. As above but with emphasis on trade rather than military activity.
Dungeon Keeper. Possibly the best game ever to have been made by Bullfrog.

I'd like a remake of the Famicom's Sweet Home. Just cosmetic stuff.

Vagrant Story. Beef up the visuals, add in some voice work that does the cast and mature script justice, and perhaps make a few minor tweaks to the battle system, then bam! A classic that's back and better than ever!

Morrowind has pretty much already been remade by the modding community, though I guess something for consoles might be nice if they were going to bring it to Skyrim level graphics.

Also, Super Metroid is long overdue for a remake.

Chrono Trigger.

And for good measure, hire the folks who were working on the fangame to make amends.
There's a version for DS that is a bit more visually appealing than the SNES one.

No games. I just replay the old ones. Metal Gear Solid lost a bit of it's charm when it was remade for the Gamecube. There was something about seeing the wicked cutscenes, but everyone's head was a pixalated mess that couldn't show any real detail.

Having played both the Snes version and the DS version several times, I'd say not. If anything, just barely.

And ZNES on a big screen/resolution with filters blows playing it on a tiny DS screen out of the water.

That being said, it was definitely worth buying on the DS... and the Virtual Console... and even the PlayStation One...

What do you mean "not much was added"? They added a whole new area to explore (2 if you consider that it's different depending on the time period), plus a whole new dungeon and a boss battle with the Time Devourer.
